We adopted our baby Francesca from the SPCA a few months ago. She is a senior, and is 14 lbs.

She had found a nice little spot on the back of our love seat, and she would watch the world go by.

We dot new furniture. There is no place for her to get up and see out. :( I did put a stool there, it is an open area, but there is NO WAY she could get up. :(

We thought we could get her something to put there. High enough to see out, easy enough to climb to the top, and sturdy enough to hold her weight.

Oh! I forgot to say, we are defiantly on a BUDGET.

There are so many types, so many brands, so many retailers.....help please! :)

Ps, she really isnt able to just jump! She is older and heavy, and has difficulty with stuff like that..

You can get "cat steps" or "cat ramps" for reasonable prices that could lead up to the stool.  Depending on how high your windows are, the steps themselves might even be high enough to serve as perches so you could do away with the stool all together.  Search amazon for "cat steps" or "cat ramps"  to get an idea of what's on the market.

Even better would be a cat tree.  I found mine through Groupon made by this manufacturer:  https://www.groupon.com/deals/gg-cat-furniture-trees-playgrounds  Prices were quite reasonable.

I forgot to mention that the cat tree I have is very sturdy and supports my 20 pound cat Paul with no problems.
