I'm fostering two beautiful babies right now and I need your help. I've been unable to get my photos of these two developed and I'm losing precious time not having them up on our website. I'd like to post cats the "look" like my fosters and list them as such. In other words, I'd put a description of my foster cat's personality with your picture and list it as "This is not an actual picture of Alex, but he looks almost identical". Here's what I need:

Alex is a mostly black, DSH, with a small white patch on the chest and belly. He's about 10 pounds and in good shape.

O'Malley is a orange and white tabby with a VERY ROUND head. he's got solid white on the bottom of his face and cheecks as well as on his chest and paws. He's got short hair and is about 15 pounds and also in good shape.

If anyone has a cat matching either of these descriptions and doesn't mind letting me use a photo for a couple of days, I would sure appreciate it.

Thanks,

Karen

I would take a look through the fur pictures forum and see if you can find any that look like them, if you find one pm the owner and see if it would be okay to use the pic. My sebastion is all black with a white dot on his chest, my orange boys are all orange though,

Thanks.

I have been going through the threads all morning, but I thought I'd add the post too.

Alex does look like Sebastian.

Funny little story:

My husband has really taken a liking to Alex, but he wasn't sure if he wanted to add him to our troop. We do have to be careful because we can end up with quite a few kitties if we kept everyone that we liked.

soooo..... I called my hub just to be sure that he did want me to put Alex up on the rescue website and he's thinking that we shouldn't (in other words, we will adopt Alex ourselves).

So, I guess I don't need that picture afterall, just the orange tabby pic.

Turns out that after much discussion, we are not keeping Alex.

He is under a year old, very well behaved and a TOTAL lover boy; which makes him extremly adoptable. We figured that we'd keep a kitty that had less of a chance of finding a good, patient home. It's gonna be hard to let Alex go, but he will find a good home, I'm sure of it.

Therefore, I do need more pictures of black kitties with white chest markings.

I sympathize with you as far as not being able to get your pics developed. I've been there myself in the past! Thank God for my digital camera now!

I'd be careful about putting another cat's picture on an ad though because that is fraud. What you could do however, is put another kitty's pic there and have a small disclaimer beneath it saying something to the effect, "this is not the cat up for adoption but is a cat that looks exactly like him." That way you'd be protecting yourself anyway.

Good luck finding them a good home! You're an angel for taking them in and caring for them!

Thanks, but that was my intention (as written on the original post). I'm sure you just missed it.
