,Hi, a week ago I bought some cat treats for my 2 month old kitten. Until I got in the car I read that it was only for 6 month and up cats. So when I got home I just threw them in a top drawer and thought I would just give them to her when shes 6 months. 15 minutes ago I went to cook and little did I know that the freaking kitten was going to climb under the drawers and get on the top drawer. I opened the drawer to see that the bag was open and she ate half the bag. Some how she chewed the bag open and ate them. Please what should I do I'm really scared if she wakes up dead because of that in the morning. I can't take her to the vet because the nearest vet is 2 hours away and this is an emergency. And please don't call me an irresponsible owner, I never imagined she could get up there. There's actually no way in the drawers besides a very tiny hole. I also tried making her vomit but I didn't want to hurt her.  Will she be okay!??

She'll be fine. The treats aren't nutritionally complete (for a cat of any age), so it's not exactly healthy, but not dangerous. She might get an upset stomach, but in all likelihood, she's already digested them (since you don't actually know when she ate them).

:yeah: The worst that would happen is an upset stomach from overindulgence.

Mogli can open zippers, and I've lost count of the number of times he's stolen dog treats from my jacket pocket or purse.

Thank you! but also I'm worried because I changed her food a week ago and she had diarrhea all week long and literally just today the diarrhea went away. And now shes very gassy and unfortunately I guess her diarrhea is coming back.

She's probably just gassy from eating too much. When my cat gets into something she shouldn't she burps and farts until she feels better. :)

I have learned never to underestimate what cats can get into. It is why there are childproof locks on things I want to keep my cat out of. Last time I underestimated her she managed to tear open a donut box and eat a donut. NEVER AGAIN.
