Hello, a week ago i adopted a cat, and i suspect that she is pregnant but i'm not completely sure. her stomach is huge and her nipples are really red and exposed, they also seem really swollen and are covered in flaky white scabs. her stomach has been twitching recently like little kittens moving around in there.

I would just like to know if she really is pregnant and if so how long until she gives birth?

PLEASE HELP MEEEEEEEE!
p.s. i will get her de-sexed immediately when it is appropriate.

If you could post a picture it would help the experts estimate how far along she is. They have kittens in 63 days so if she is 'huge', it can't be much longer. I'd say one to two weeks at the most. I've had females that I swear were going to pop, they were so huge. They couldn't even walk right and couldn't lay down comfortably, and they still waited two weeks! You will be blessed for helping that sweet little girl, she had to have been so scared and unsure of everything before she found you. You might get her some kitten food to build her up, especially when she is nursing, it takes a lot out of them and they get very skinny. The kitten food is higher in nutrients and calories. It is very early in the morning here, so be patient on waiting for someone to answer you with more experience then me. Plan on having her spayed when the kittens are about 8 weeks old, but don't let her out at all after the birth, I've had litters only 70 days apart, so they can get pregnant again almost immediately.  Thank you again for helping her, we need more people like you on this earth, and by having her spayed you are making sure there aren't more scared, starving, mamas out there.

Just wanted to say she has such beautiful coat colors!!
She definately looks pregnant to me and she's already lost the fur around her nipples...could be anytime right? 2-3 weeks? But I'm no expert. We just had kitties a week ago.

Looking forward to seeing yours! It is definately a great learning experience! No two cats are the same I guess. My queen cat didn't seem to show any of the signs of impending labor. Well aside from the huge belly! We felt very little kitten movement here and there about a week prior. However, Margarita is a very tiny cat and she was carrying 5 so not much room to jump around in there! [emoji]128514[/emoji]

Thanks! OMG i am so excited! I'm going to be a grandpa soooooon!

i can see the kittens kicking around in her tummy pretty hard, so is it safe to assume that she will be having them in two weeks?

My kitty's stomach is really hard now. Can someone tell me what this mean? Should I be concerned?

It means she is in the final stages of her pregnancy. She can go into labor anytime now.

Most likely. Cats begin to have discharge about 1-3 days before going into labor and giving birth. She's getting closer.

Thank you very much! So is it safe to assume that she will give birth in three days, because she wasn't bleeding yesterday.

It's hard to know for sure. It could really be anytime now. Just be patient and keep an eye on her.
