I'll let you all know when I hear something from the vet. We are dropping Franklin and my cat Sarge off in the morning right when I get off of work. Some good news, last night he weighed 14 oz, this morning it dropped to 13.3, and tonight before I came into work he was 14.6! So that is hopeful!

Yes, I think his weight picking up is hopeful too. I pray that both Franklin and Sarge get better soon!

The vet just called! She said that they shaved Sarge's butt, the area is very sore and inflammed from the poop and fur clumping up there (he is long haired). They have an ointment give him and a pain medicine, he otherwise looks fine!

Franklin she said he is looking better! She said he has a great attitude and she was anticipating for him to be depressed but that he is spunky! The panleuk test was negative- she just thought that since I foster it was important that we check for it. She recommended that we start probiotics, give him Panacur in addition to the Albon and Metro. She is going to give me a whole bag of fluids to give him because I only had one more syringe full from the emergency vet. We'll just keep keeping an eye on him since we still aren't sure of the cause and if it would be to get any worse we can get a different antibiotic, but she doesn't want to do that right now. Overall it seems like some pretty great news! I'll be going to pick up my boys shortly!

This is just terrific news! I'm not sure that Franklin needs panacur AND metronidazole. You might want to check with the vet. The metronidazole is hard on the system, and could give him nasty side effects. Glad he'll continue with fluids for now.

Excellent news on Sarge as well. Hope he'll be good as new soon too!

And we are continuing our gaining weight! He was 15.4 oz tonight! I will ask about the metro, he only gets like a drop of it anyway.

The pregnant cat is with the other foster now! This is the only picture I have gotten of her so far

She looks gorgeous! I haven't gotten too much information from the other foster because she had an equally as busy day as I did! I should have more information tomorrow!

Thank you guys so much! I love this site <3 By the way the last of Andy's kittens went to his forever home today! So did the last of the litter of 6 kittens with the sniffles that were living outside (I called them my Bates Motel Kittens)- thank goodness so now I have a room for my pregnant momma!

Oh my goodness! She's GORGEOUS![emoji]128571[/emoji][emoji]128571[/emoji][emoji]128571[/emoji] Hopefully all goes well while you are fostering her. :) I'm sure she'll get adopted quickly, assuming she's friendly :)

I think so too! The lady that originally contacted me said she is very friendly (but that could be because of the pregnancy?) I haven't talked too much to the lady who has her now and is holding her for me until Saturday. Hopefully I will have more information on her soon! I am getting excited to get her, it will be a nice distraction (not away from the care of course) but just from the stress of caring for Franklin. Hopefully all goes well with these sweeties!

The last of Andy's birth kittens is now rehomed? Were the Bates Motel kitties the same as the Halloween kittens?

How are Franklin and Sarge today?

We are all looking forward to the new kitty coming in!

They are doing great! Sarge is back to normal basically- after he takes his pain medicine that is. Franklin seems very spunky today! He always looks better after his fluids and a bath.

Yes the last of Andy's birth kittens went to their homes. The Bates Motel Kittens were the litter that I took in after the Halloween kittens. They were born to a feral mom (who we are still trying to catch but is super trap savy). So right now the only kitten kittens that I have are the four solid black babies. Then I have Andy, two adult spayed females who were left behind when their owners moved out- Fae and Siri, and Hallie- another spayed stray. Then after Saturday I will have the new Momma cat, I am not sure what I am naming her yet.. ideas are welcome!

I'm so happy that both little Franklin and Sarge are both doing so well. They both have the best person possible to nurse them to health [emoji]128519[/emoji][emoji]10084[/emoji]️

He started purring when I went in and picked him up to give him his medicine today! So sweet, he hasn't done that before! And! We have semi-solid poops! Yay! He still spendsmost of his time sleeping on his heating pad and I am still syringe feeding to make sure he is eating as much as he should, and doing fluids once a day, but I really think he is on the mend!
