Hi there!

I just was approved to adopt the sweetest little rescue kitten and I've named him Apollo! He's a huge mush.

He looks to be a piebald/bicolor classic-patterned tabby (which is unique enough-- I've never seen one in my life!) with the sweetest white tail tip. However, he's got these hilarious bat ears and really narrow face. His fur is silky soft, and doesn't look entirely domestic short hair to me. Anyone think he might be a mix? Maybe Siamese, Abyssinian? Or do you think he's just a DSH with big ol' ears? :)

With mixes is nothing sure.  And domestics are per definition mixes of sorts.

However, the classic tabby pattern itsnt the most common butter and bread.   Its sooner somewhat of marbled bengal type.   So perhaps a bengal as granddad or equivalent...  Not very near, but these refined marbles still possible to discover.

The pattern I myself would call for marbled tabby and white, in the saddle-pattern.

That is my guess.

Sweet kitty!

Oh wow, now that you mention it, diluted Bengal makes sense! He's quite long and large for his age-- he's only 5 months old and basically the size of an adult cat! That's an exciting possibility! I love trying to uncovering all these mixes. :) His mom was a sweet little feral calico, and two of his sisters are standard calico and his other sister looks just like him. Two sweethearts!

Thanks much! He's such a special cat!
