I think it's the gravy. I know when I eat left over Chinese food the following day there's jelly like this on it till I heat it up.

I think its just a jelly from the moisture in the food as everyone else pointed out (every time I buy cat canned food this happens). My cats think its the best part ha.
Yeah, the gravy congeals when it gets cold, like bacon fat or oil. You can call it consomme if that sounds fancier :lol3:. If you heat the food up it'll liquefy again.
