Hi there. My girl is expecting an accidental litter of kittens. (Save your lecture, I already know and she will be spayed asap) she has a vet appointment Monday but I'm curious to hear others responses. If I had to guess based on what I've read/observed I would think she is 5-6 weeks. I think she may have been mated within the first 2 weeks of June. I noticed her nipples had pinked up July 15th but it would have started before that. She's started to show now. Today she has been eating a lot and somewhat restless. Moving rooms a lot and wanting to be close sometimes. She's even cried to me a few times. Just curious to see how far along you might think? I am attaching a few pictures.

Her tummy feels much firmer today. It's normally pretty soft. I don't have an exact date for her to be due so I'm wondering if this is normal towards the end? Or could it be contractions? She has a vet appointment Monday morning.

The vet didn't give me a since answer. Her eating has slowed the last couple of days and I noticed some brownish/red discharge on her bottom. I don't see kitten movement but I can sometimes feel what I believe is a kitten when her belly tenses up. I wish I had a better idea of when to expect these little ones.

The discharge is definitely a sign, along with less kitten movement, that she is progressing towards the end. If her belly is tensing sometimes, she may be having early contractions. Hang in there! [emoji]128522[/emoji]

Yes my neighbor moved and took the father of the kittens along with 2 kittens from their previous litter. And she had an x ray done

Ok! Wow! Good to know. [emoji]128522[/emoji]

Go ahead and buy a can of kitten replacement milk (KMR) - powdered by PetAg is preferred, and a 1-2 mL syringe, in case you need to supplement a runt. With 6, that is a distinct possibility. Walmart and pet stores carry PetAg kitten formula.

Why did your neighbor not want mama, and what happened to the rest of her last litter?

Are you planning to keep mom? She needs to be spayed after this litter weans to stop this cycle.

If you give me your city and state I can try to locate a low-cost spay/neuter clinic in your area for you.

Keep posting! Thank you for taking your neighbor's cat in!

Looking forward to her delivery!

Still some redish/brown discharge crusted on her vulva today. It looks moist but there isn't anything coming out of it. No milk. Last night she was breathing a little heavier and her stomach tightened and I could feel a whole kitten! She's pretty normal today though. Eating a little more and pooping quite often.

She definitely had some contractions tonight and I believe she is starting to nest. She got behind the drawer of my dresser. She's still eating and semi-normal. I'm anxious [emoji]128518[/emoji][emoji]128518[/emoji]
