I adopted 2 unrelated, adult cats and only have guesses about what breeds they might be. I would appreciate any thoughts. They are both about 7 lbs. Thanks!!

The one in the top picture is a Domestic Long Haired cat. His/Her coat pattern is called Lynx point. So he/she is pointed (the point pattern is the pattern people associate with siamese cats, and it is actually a modified form of albinism).
The one in the bottom picture is a Domestic Medium or Long haired cat, with the Classic (bullseye) Tabby pattern.
Only a very small percentage of cats actually belong to specific breeds. So any cat without pedigree papers or genetic testing that proves its breed- is simply a Domestic- hair length -Cat.
They are unrelated, but yet somewhat similiar, no?
I do agree with @Raina21 but if you want to have some comparison to a breed, to get a "somewhat look alike to" so perhaps Neva Masquerade to the point, and Sibirian to the other one.
These are near related breeds, essentially Neva Masquerade are pointed Sibirians. Usually they tend to be biggish, thought.
You're thinking some variation of Siberian Forest Cat for both? Possibly 'Brown Mackerel' may fit the darker one and 'Neva Masquerade' for the lighter one? Tabby-lynx-mitted-lilac-manx-feathers-point-seal-bobtail-tufts ... It's like learning a second language! LOL
