Hi, Happy Saturday.

Are you an early riser or more of a night owl? What time of day do you feel most energetic and creative?

I'm definitely not a morning person. I can't imagine a life where I have to get up early in the morning. I like to lie-in with the kitties until a civilized hour and then ease myself gently into the day with plenty of hot coffee.

Luckily I work afternoons and evening rather than in the morning. For me the day doesn't really start until the sun goes down.

How about you?

As for energy/creativeness, approx. around the noon mark to the late afternoon (With a boost in between of course). Sometimes in the evening. Not too late, because my idea of a good time at night is nestling on the couch watching a good historical documentary with snacks and pets. *I'm so cool I know*

I like for the sun to be up before I rise. Getting up in the dark is depressing unless I am excited about the day's activities. My energy is best mid morning and shortly after leaving work.

Morning person. Aside from having cats which is obvious.  I've always woken up about when the sun starts coming up.  I'm much more energetic, aware and pleasant in the morning.  I start lagging late afternoon.  By the time I get home from work I'm toast. It's all I can do to stay awake until 9ish. I'm almost always in bed by 10pm. It's extremely difficult to stay up late hence why I'm not a fan of holidays like New Year's Eve.

I'm with you @Norachan   I like to ease into my day, too.  Just a few minutes ago I was thinking I'd better get dressed and start the day but then realized, "Oh, it's only just after 9 a.m., it's EARLY, I don't have to get dressed yet."

Fortunately DH is a morning person.  Our deal is he takes care of kitty feeding and litter box duty in the mornings so I don't have to get up early, and I take care of them at night.  Perfect.

I wake up at 4am every morning. I have this amazing alarm clock that wakes me up each and every morning. This is no ordinary alarm clock, oh no, this alarm clock has 4 legs, a fluffy brown tail, and runs around my ankles until breakfast is served.

Been a night owl all of my life. Unfortunately my work has me up at 5:30 am Mon-Thurs but on the weekends I'm usually up until at least 2 am. Probably why I have to take Ambien some nights because my schedule isn't regular!

We live in las vegas and I am crazy about my indoor cats being able to get some fresh air everyday so I get up at 2 or 3am so they can sit by the screen door til it gets light out. Then we eat, play, and go back to bed for awhile! Only way to get fresh and not to hot air during summer

i'm a morning person. however, i worked graveyard shift (11pm to 7am) for many years, so i can sleep pretty much any hours i choose to.

currently, i get to bed sometime in the range of 10:30pm - 1am (varies quite a bit), and i'm up anywhere from 7:30am - 10am. most common is that i sleep from 12:30am to 9am. bear in mind that i'm up for a minimum of 1 hour during the night -- to give the cats their 'middle of the night snack'.

i've toyed with the idea of my 'day' being 10/11pm at night to 12/1pm the next day, then sleeping from 1/2pm until 10/11pm -- still getting up for an hour in the late afternoon to give the cats a snack. i just think this would work out so well for me/us. it's nice and quiet during the nights, cooler in the summer time and though colder during the winter time i'd be up to add wood to the wood stove all night. then during the mornings i could get things done like going shopping or other errands, and mowing the lawn and outdoors chores.

Morning, but not necessarily by choice. I do tend to get more done in the early morning hours. By dusk, I'm pretty much a pumpkin. Or a bed potato, take your pick.

I'm a night owl, usually sleeping from midnight to 9 a.m. Mingo lets me know about 11:30 p.m. that it's time to go to bed by sitting at my feet and chirping. I don't know why he does this because he doesn't like to sleep with me. I guess it's just the routine and he wants to keep me on schedule.

I don't like getting up too early,  because I like to sleep in a little bit, yet not get up too late.

Morning person. I'm up every work day between 5:15 - 5:30 am to be to work by 7:00 AM. I don't have to go in at 7, I just prefer to beat the traffic on both ends of the day.  I'm not always happy when the alarm goes off, but once I have a shower I'm good to go.  On weekends I typically sleep in until around 6:30 AM.  In the evening, bedtime is 10:00 PM.  I'm not good for anything else by that time anyway, nothing worth watching on TV, and I often fall asleep reading a book.

Lol!  by 9:00 AM this morning I was at the shelter taking care of the kitties. However, by 9:00 PM tonight I'll be in my jammies, in the bed, reading a book or dropping gummies.

Night owl, definitely. I drag in the mornings, and if I don't get enough sleep I drag all day. Until maybe 7 pm and then I'm raring to go. Which is why I don't get enough sleep! :lol3: I used to work nights and that was nice for me but it really stinks when the rest of the world doesn't coincide with your schedule!

Major night owl,  I head to bed between 2 and 4AM, and get up between 10 and noon.  I've never worked anything but 3-11 or 11-7 jobs.  It wouldn't be fair to an employer to have me there before noon.  I'm just not functional.  Mom told me that when she used to wake up in the middle of the night and check on me when I was tiny, I'd be wide awake, just looking around in the dark, happy as a clam.  When I went to jr high and high school, she had to fight like a tiger to get my schedules arranged so that my easy subjects were in the mornings, and my hard ones after lunch.  If she hadn't been willing to go to bat for me like that I'd have flunked out left, right and center.  I just couldn't follow difficult subjects before noon.

I should have been a vampire. I loathe mornings. My favorite time of day is 9PM to around 5 AM. The world is dark and quiet.

This is so me. I get up about 5:45 am. Out the door by 6:30 most days. I have a long commute into NYC from NJ and like to get there early to ease into the day. I get a lot done before everyone up shows up and since part of my job is HR, I can get those employee related tasks out of the way to focus on more pressing matters.

I was off from work the last 12 days and didn't sleep past 7am not a once.  Even the few times Tom got up to feed the cats before me, I still couldn't sleep late. It's just impossible.  Sun's up. I'm up.
