Hello! I just joined this site so this is my first post, my husband and I came home from work this evening to find our cats spay incision open and weeping a clear/orange discharge. This is day 4 of her post opp surgery. When I left for work in the afternoon I checked and the incision was normal looking and closed! We are going to take her to the vet in the morning, but I'm extremely worried! If any on has advice or opinions to keep me calm for the rest of the night they would be greatly appreciated! I've attached pictures, beware they are a little graphic.

Thank you all so much!

I think the orange you're seeing is just some blood from her licking.  This is a bit more open than I would like to see, but it doesn't look red or infected.  I agree that a vet visit is in order and will fix her right up!

Ah yes I was wondering that myself if it was blood, she hasn't been licking that I know of since she has a cone on, however she got her cone off for 20 mins before we got home (we have a camera on her) but now it just seems to be oozing the blood/liquid.

You're seeing the liquid just come out of her skin without her touching it?

Yes, she was laying on our bed and I rolled her over to look again. It wasn't dripping out just kind of looked like it had oozed out if that makes sense.

yes we took her today and she had to get a shot of antibiotics to make sure an infection didn't happen as well as getting the hole in the incision glued back up again! Thank you for asking :) She is now sound asleep after her stressful day.
