When was the last time you were at the vet's office for your cats or other furbabies?

**My apologies....I've been interrupted about 6 times while trying to start today's question!

The last time I was at the vet's office was late last fall.

Our vet just left our house for our first home visit!  My girls are 11 year old litter mates and between June of 2014 and last November I think we were at the vets every few months for one or both girls starting health issues.  And then there were stops just to pick up prescriptions (which I now get online
.)  My younger child was barely 2 when this all started and he still calls out "There's the Beeeet!!"  when we drive by!  That's how much we were there!

When Noodles went into heart failure they had me stop bringing her in because of how she stresses out there.  But they now offer home visits (praying my bill isn't TOO big!) so today she was able to have an exam for the first time in about 18 months!  I like our vet a lot so I'm glad they are offering home visits.  The vet tech who came with her is great too.  (Better than another who jumped back scared when one of the girls hissed at her from 2 feet away.
)  This vet was really great when Noodles looked so terrible.  And having a home visit was much easier on Noodles. She was really pleased with how Noodles looks!  Mooch is looking pretty disgruntled with me right now though.

I little over a month ago for Casper.  We've been trying to figure out for a while why he keeps throwing up. They have run blood tests (all normal), had an x-rays (normal), and his vitals are normal. He's lost nearly 2 pounds since last year this time, which isn't good at all.  So the next step was getting an ultrasound for him with a specialist.

Then, both Tom and I came down with bronchitis in May so Casper was put on the back burner.  Finally made the appointment for Casper's ultrasound this coming Friday.  The worst part will be withholding his breakfast LOL.

February for Alice's check, I know I will be getting a notice for another checkup next month.  She is 13 now and when the vet called with lab results she asked if it would be okay to go to every 6 months.

I know Patches is overdue.  Usually every other time when I call for a refill on his medication they tell me he needs to come in.  I should have had to take him in when he got his last refill but they let me just come in and get his medicine.

Honeybee on my lap, music playing in background
a month ago for Pumpkin face's laser therapy for her arthritis which it doesn't seem to make much difference after a few days. It seemed to help the first time but after that its hard to tell. We have to get all 3 in for yearly checkups/and titer tests to see if they need to be vaccinated. one has asthma and I don't like doing too many shots at once and the other two are older kitties who have been getting yearly shots for some time. Usually we go every 3 months it seems-this winter it was pumpkin face who had some issues-eye then the urine issue. all cleared up now. She's the easiest to medicate. The other two forget it. Honeybee will allow strangers to medicate her but not me. she will bite me. BRAT!

Last September for Mingo's well-being check and rabies vaccinations. My vet sponsors cats from Purrs, a no-facility, no-kill shelter here, and he and one of the kitties got into a hissing contest. By the time we got into a room, he was hissing at everything in sight. So they thought he was a hostile cat and wrapped him in a towel the whole time he was there.

I have to take him back in a couple of weeks to board for 8 days, and I'm a little concerned about it. He doesn't like to be caged in the first place, and with his "history" of hostility, I don't know whether they will let him out for exercise like they say they do. But I can't leave him here even if someone comes in because it's just not enough human contact for him. At least at the vet's, he will get three meals a day, a clean litter pan, and some kind of contact.

September of last year for that terrifying bout with pancreatitis.  August she goes in for wellness, rabies, and chipping.

Artie was at a Vet's in March. He is going in to see the specialist in a couple of weeks for a check up

I wish I could find a reasonably priced at home Vet service with a Great Vet.

Artie cries so much, once he is in his carrier. I even have classical music playing in the car. I did find that the more I talk to him the more he cries.

This morning!  Took our 13 year old Hannah in for an annual check up.  Barring anything unusual in her blood work, I think all is good with her.

I haven't taken Mabel yet. We got her last August and she had just been spayed and given her shots so we haven't needed to take her.

Last visit overall... my dog Sugar, in early May, because (as we found out on that visit) she had an abscess on her bum. I still need to take her back for a recheck, but no $$$$ right now :bawling: Hopefully get financial stuff straightened out soon.

Last visit for my kitties... April 28th, Sara's last visit :( Which is why I'm looking forward to the boys going on their annual checkup in the next couple months. Have a nice "last visit" to remember with one of my kitties. I almost can't wait for them to see the boys - the last time they saw them, they were 3.5lbs each! They've gotten so big since then.

We had BooBoo to the vet for those allergy/steroid shots that he get four times a year....I think that was probably back around April or so.

The Beast has to go in for her shot soon; I have to make the appointment.

It has been 6 to 8 weeks ago probably. We took Snoop for a recheck for worms and parasites because of the explosive diarrhea problem.

...with the cats...
a late reply here. it's been a very busy week here, a big part of which was preparing for and then having our jaspurr's dental extractions done (yesterday). so yesterday was the last time i was at my vet's with one of my cats.

our jaspurr has FORLs, a dental disease, and had 3 teeth extracted yesterday. well, actually 2 1/2 teeth, because one tooth only had half of it left in his mouth.
i stayed there for the day, until my boy was able to be released and brought home. it took several hours for him to come off the anesthesia enough, and he was still a tad bit unstable on his feet and 'seeing big purple mice chewing bubble gum and blowing bubbles' well into the night last night. he's doing well today. our vet's called to check on him earlier today too.
