Probably just getting ready for labor to begin, or...it's a little harder to breathe at the end because her tummy is so large. Momma cat will let you know if/when she wants the other kitty to stay away.

Sorry for all the constant questions! She still very much pregnant no kitties yet, she keeps getting on my lap at any opportunity she can, which I don't mind...however she has hissed at me a couple of time when she has been asleep on my lap is this usual behaviour, is it just bacs use she is unconfotable and possible having a few pre contractions

Ok sorry to bother you all again... Poppy is breathing a lot heavier even panting sort of! She hasn't been vocal tho! She is trying really hard to get comfy but can't seem to! How long before the go into full labour do they usually get vocal! Is it just the pushing part or throughout the whole 3 stages of labour

When my liz was vocal she wasn't in pain, she just wanted me near and would call constantly if I wasn't. Not all cats make noise, she didn't make another sound once I stayed with her. If she's panting labor could be starting. Will she let you rub her tummy?

You will know for sure when she is about to give birth by when she starts having contractions. She's 65 days today, correct? Normally you start really counting the day after she got pregnant so if you didn't include that she would be 64 days. Of course that's well within due. Most cats give birth on the 65th day, that's the average. She sounds like she is getting close but it could be a day or two yet.
If she loses her mucus plug in a large chunk, then labor is soon, but she could lose it slowly so it's harder to tell. When contractions start, it's normally several hours from then. When she starts pushing then the kittens will start coming within the hour.
:)

Id like to add all kitties are different! Some stop eating completely a day before, and nest the day before and rest all day. Mine on the other hand ate before, during, and in between kittens! She also was extremely quiet until she started pushing, since the first 3 were born breech it was likely a little more painful so she yowled pretty loudly while giving birth. She also didn't best at all really, she gave birth in six different spots all over my bedroom floor.

Yeh she is letting me give her tummy rubs but every now and then she will hiss at me! She has found a spot in the window and won't come down from there now! She is still panting tho! Hopefully she will have them tonight or tomorrow!

She probably has a bit of time left. But things are working their way towards labor.

She is 66 days today... Do u still think she has time left! I think she seems pretty ready now! She hasn't been acting herself the last couple of hours, very fidgety and lots of licking of her tummy, she can't reach her lady parts to lick them but I think she would if she could

I thought she was 65 days today. Accidental typo? haha

She likely has a bit of time left, but perhaps not. There is no way to tell, not even a vet can predict with 100% accuracy! Cats are mysterious creatures!

Anyway, she could very well give birth today, since it's the average date. As long as she isn't a specific breed that carries a tad longer I'd say it will be today, tomorrow, or at the latest the day after that.

She does sounds close, but as I said, you've gotta wait for contractions to start in order to know.

Just make sure she's comfortable and has everything she needs, and check on her every once in a while to see how she is doing and keep us posted!

Try not to be too anxious! I know it's killing you to wait, it did the same to me too! But before you know it the kittens will be here, and it's just the start. They have a lot of growing to do and you'll spend plenty of time with them :)

Do you have everything you need for the kittens? A scale, KMR, needless syringe, clean towels/rags, etc?

Some cats take 24 hours or more to get to the point of pushing, mine was about 3 hours lol. At least I didn't notice any true signs before that. She's close, even if it's tomorrow. It's exciting.

By the sounds of it, I think you'll be lucky and be home when she starts pushing!

Unless she's a jerk kitty and just decides within 30 minutes it's time ;) (Which I think is highly unlikely)

Thanks for all your advice and sorry about all the questions! Hopefully I will be home when she does as I want to be there for her! Hubby said she is very unsettled the last hour constantly walking around and rolling in the floor

Hubby said she is quiet now and asleep! I have told him he isn't aloud to go to sleep until I finish my shift at 2am lol! Poor hubby! But I want a watchful eye on poppy until she has her kitties! He did say he was playing a game with her chasing the ribbon, she got really out of breath playing it and panting very hard, clearly out of breath but he hears it helped with labour
