I have 4 kittens, about 4 weeks old and they all have an eye infection. I got the terramycin, however I was expecting it to be an ointment but it is a liquid. How do I give this to the kittens? Put a drop or 2 in their eyes?

Is it in a tube or a dropper bottle? I've never seen liquid terramycin, although if the tube gets too hot it liquifies. If it's in the tube, put it in a coolish area for half an hour. Not fridge cold, just coolish. That should get it to the right consistency. Put a small amount on your finger and put that in the kittens' eyes---don't apply directly or the tube will get contaminated. If it's liquid, hmm, I really don't know :dk:. I would assume one drop per eye, but calling your vet would be best, I think.

Thank you, turns out it is the ointment I got. (I didn't really even look at the box much, when I got it). I had a worker help me find it & he said that they only carry the liquid terramycin, but in fact it's an ointment. So, I have already soaked (with a saline solution) & cleared any gunk out & then applied the ointment to the eyes. How long would you sayou I should keep this up? I'm going to do it 3x a day.
