Newborn kittens can be a challenge. You're doing great!

I do think you should feed the white one a little bit every hour until she is more stable. She will hopefully perk up soon and rebound. I agree that she was probably out by herself for longer. Bless her heart though - she's hanging in there.

Let's take it one day at a time for now. Are you feeding through the night too? (Which is necessary, but rough on you).

Your dog sounds like a good helper!

Yes I am feeding through the night. I did every 3 so that way I could still get some sleep and be functional for when the toddler wakes up. I think I will start feeding the white one every hour because through the night she seemed to get worse. She's barely moving around and I'm scared I'm too late to get her back. I'm hoping she pulls through because the black one has done so much better since she's has a mate/ sibling with her. Is there anything I can give her to help perk her up besides the kmr? Can I give her light Karo syrup with every feed?

Yes, you can put some on her gums before every feed, and maybe a drop in her formula.

Is her body cold? She needs to stay warm. I'm concerned too with little movement.

Does she take her formula willingly?

Is she peeing much for you?

I checked her ears to tell because I read that's a good way to tell, and she's warm. She eats but she's never suckled..at all. I have to put a couple drops in the side of her mouth to get her to eat. She has been peeing, and actually after her last feeding at 2 had a bowel movement going from firm to really soft. It wasn't straight liquid, but not formed either. It reminded me of sludge. Is there anywhere that has pictures for what's appropriate/okay for poo?

Okay. Peeing and pooping are good signs. A tiny kitten's poop should be toothpaste-like consistency. It won't be formed until they are eating solids regularly, so it sounds okay. Was it brown in color?

How much formula are you getting into her and how often?

Do you have a weight on her?

The black ones is formed and green (vet said the color was okay because it depended on what I was feeding them. And the white ones is brown/green and was formed until now which it kinda does seem to be toothpaste consistency. I am feeding them the PetAg powdered formula with a tbls water and tbls pedialyte. I do not have a weight on either because I don't have scale and at the moment no funds to get one. I'm currently hoping someone I know has one I can borrow at least until we get one.

The white is downing 1.25ml an hour and the black is 3ml every 2 (she's a little piggy) I tried giving her 2.5 and she still wanted more.

The more they will take the better. Does the white one indicate she's full after 1.25 mLs?

Its so hard to tell with her because she's not as vocal as the black one about it, and she doesn't suck either. I feed her until she turns away and if she seems to be looking for the syringe again I feed her more. But so far she's been averaging about 1.25 to 1.5 consistently. Should I try getting her to take more? Is it possible to over feed them? There's been times where the black one finishes the three and seems to still want more. I apologize for all the questions, I tried researching and talking to a vet but I mainly got very vague answers or contradicting answers.

It's very difficult to overfeed. I would say keep going until they are reusing to eat more.

Have you tried burping her after she is done?  She may eat more after the air is out of her belly.

I have been burping them but no idea if they actually burp or not. I watched YouTube videos on it so I could see how do it/ hear it but that didn't help much. I'll start giving them as much as they'll take.

Yes, the more they eat the better - without causing aspiration, of course.

Can you try to borrow a scale so we can see how they are gaining? That would really let us know.

idk if this will help the weak one but i have heard it does. when you are awake, keep her in your shirt, next to your skin for as long as you can. i was a pediatric/newborn nurse for many years and although i didn't work in the NICU with the tiny preemies i know those nurses always tried to give those babies skin to skin contact as often as possible. maybe you could fashion some sort of sling?

The white one isn't doing much better today and I'm actually thinking she may need more care than I'm qualified to give. I'm hoping we can maybe get into the vet today because I'm really worried about her. She seems to have like a tic or full body muscle spasm (I have no idea what to compare it too). I was hoping I could upload a video but no luck there. I was thinking maybe she wasn't warm enough because she sleeps right on the sock and doesn't move, so between my son and I, we have been using our body heat, and wrapping her in a soft blanket to see if it helps. I thought with the one hour feeds she would perk up but no such luck. She is barely moving and makes next to no noise. Her last feeding she only took about 2 ml versus the 3-4 I was getting through the night (3 hr feeds) The black one on the other hand is doing phenomenal. I've started feeding her what she'll eat which has worked out to about 5.5 ml every 3 hours. This morning she downed closer to six 6.5 ml. She's very vocal and moves around fairly well. My only concern with her as how round/full her belly is. When she gets done eating it looks like she swallowed a kiwi.

The white baby sounds critical. Although she may be fading, I would get her to a vet asap. They may be able to give her medicine that will help.

Is she still peeing and pooping? She needs to be next to a heat source, not just in a blanket. She cannot kerp herself warm.

Does honey on the gums perk her up at all? I'm afraid she may have internal organ issues from being out on her own for so long, but it's still worth trying to save her.

The other kitten sounds great! Very healthy tummy going there.

I do plan on getting her in today because I'll do just about anything to save her. And she is wrapped in a blanket and under our shirts getting petted and loved on it was kinda my last ditch effort to see if it would help. She is peeing every feed and she pooped yesterday.

She's still hanging in there! If she's eating, peeing, and pooping, then she's still got a fighting chance.

They may suggest putting her down since she's not thriving, but I would not do that at this time. Just a head's up.

Hoping the vet can help. Let me know later.

I take her in at 130 and hoping it is nothing too serious because I want her to make it and have a fighting chance. We plan on keeping both of them so there is no concern on rehoming. Now to just hope I can get her to eat more today. Ill update after the visit
