Sue & Tybalt....I'm so sorry you are going through all of this! I can't imagine the heartache of it all. Please know that you all are in my thoughts, prayers & I'm sending mega good vibes your direction. I wish I had some advice for you guys, but please know that I'm thinking of you all.

Hang in there Sweetie! Sounds like you really need a hug right about now & I wish I were there to deliver it in person...but will this one do?

Oh Sue , I am so sorry ((((((HUGS)))))) and my heart is going out to you . I know how it feels like going through bankruptcy btdt
about 3 years ago . But we were better off . First we went through credit counseling center service (sp) , where we had to pay a amount of money every month . It went well for a few years . Till my hubby's dad was passing away from canser and my husband had to fly up north to say good by to his dad . Well , no need to say that it messed our payments up and they end up troping us like a hot potatoe . Then we had to file the bankruptcy and was no way out . So please don't feel bad , that happens in the best family
.

Maybe you can rent a Doppelwide Trailor , it is usualy a lot cheaper to rent . I don't know how it is where you are , but here it is twice as cheap then renting a house .

Also my friend Goldie , when she rented a house and the landlord said yes to cats and had no clue how many she had . Well , he come by one day to look at the house . He almost kicked her out , she had over 20 cats . They all have feline leukemia , so we are talking about special needs cats . He wanted her to get rid of the cats
. Goldie was in for a bad time . So the deal was that we ( hubby , I and my son ) went and build a cat enclosure with her financee on the 4th of July last year together so she could keep her cats . I have to say that it broke her heart bringing almost all of her cats out there , she was aloud 3 cats in the house . Yes she was cheating and kept more insite , the sicker once .

But please hang in there , both of you . Remember , after the rain the sun will shine again ((((((HUGS)))))) to you and Tybalt

I really felt your pain when I read this Sue. This must be such a hard thing to go through. I know if it were me I would be really freaking out. I wouldnt part with my cats either. I worry about just being responsible for 2.. I cant imagine 18.

I dont think I would pack up 18 cats and drive cross country, to live in a house with 8 more cats.. that's just way too much stress. Whatever you do I will hope and pray that it all works out for you and your babies. There are a lot of apts that accept pets.. and if the landlord doesnt live in your building I dont think you'd have a problem. Someone posted some great apartment finders websites that accept pets.. I wish I could find those links now.

I know a lot about how you feel, even though I am only 17, my mom and I live alone in a crappy house in a bad neighborhood with 2 dogs and 9 cats. We just finished filing for bankruptcy, our mortgage company sold our house on "accident", eventually we got to keep the house but it caused a lot of trouble. Maybe if someone in your family could buy a hud home, or foreclosure for you, and then you in turn pay mortgage to them? Our HUD home only cost 91,000. Thats all I could think of though, I am really sorry you have to go through this. I know you will find a way to live somewhere and keep all your cats, hopefully not secretive either, because that could drain you fast. Good luck, all of us will be thinking of you!

My heart goes out to you, I know, I just went through my foreclosure myself, a month ago. I don't know what I can do, but if you want to send me a U2U I'd be happy to give you my phone number, If you need some advice or just someone to talk to who has been through it as well.

With Prayers

Sue, I'm at a loss for words. What a crappy situation! I have no advice, but please know that I'll be adding my prayers to the others. We'll just bombard heaven, that's all! -- and somehow that other door will become apparent.

Hon 3 years ago we went through a similar situation , after my divorce I had to find new houseing with 3 kids in a state ( NH ) where housing is an issue , we ended up in a 2 bedroom off season town house rental , this bought us enough time to try to find proper housing ...as time went on and we still couldnt find houseing and I mean we tried there were some 40-60 ppl for every apt I called ...we just ran out of time , we ended up in a 1 room motel with no cooking facilities ...it was aweful . Then we got a lead on an apt in Vermont .we took it sight unseen we didnt care what it looked like as long as we had a home .

My point is you shouldnt be embarrassed , Im sure many of us have faced this , Do you have children? if so you need to contact your local housing authority and apply for an emergency section 8 , we made up fliers and posted them all over the towns in our area asking for help it was hard to do but you do what you have to what you have to .

If you need to talk Id be glad to listen

So sorry to hear you are going through this right now Mom of 10 cats. I have friends who are dangerously close to being in the same situation you are in. Does the fact that both you and your husband have jobs account for anything? Maybe you could convince the bankruptcy court that you made a mistake and didn't see the details in the paperwork about declaring a prior bankruptcy? Also since there is a double income, maybe the banks/creditors could work with you and you could do a debt consolidation thing, and make really small payments for awhile. As long as you pay SOMETHING every month, I would think the creditors would be satisfied? I don't know. Maybe I have no idea what I am talking about. I have never owned a home. I have been unemployed before and I don't have a spouse with a second income, but I have always lived with my folks. My thoughts and prayers are sent your way. Good for you!!for sticking to your guns about keeping your kitties!! Your situation just HAS to improve. How could you NOT be rewarded for your committment to your cats?
