It looks like a seroma to me. Basically the body creates some fluid in between the abdominal wall and skin layer. This happens sometimes after surgeries. It can be drained by your vet or it will eventually be absorbed by the body. It's best to take her in for a check up just to make sure that's what this is though.

I seemed to have remembered my cat a long big time ago looking like this. I think I was told its the stitches but I'd call the vet. Everything else normal?

A lump is normal (it's the internal stitches, and sometimes the body reacts to the stitches too), but that lump looks bigger than normal. Although it could just be the way you're holding her ;). It doesn't look infected, though, so I'd just say to keep an eye on it and call the vet if it starts to look worse.

That lump definitely looks larger than normal. I think it would be a good idea to have it checked by the vet. Many vets do followups for surgery for free.

What did this turn out to be? My kitten was spayed 6 days ago and has a lump very similar to this! She hasn’t been acting any differently but I wanted to be sure it’s nothing serious. I rescued her from a shelter and had to have her spayed at a clinic () so I unfortunately will have to have her taken to a vet and pay the initial fees.

This member hasn’t been back since last year. But definitely go to your vet it’s not normal could be an allergy to the sutures.

Please get your baby checked by a vet. Call around to vets in your area. Sometimes vet offices will do a free exam for new clients. This could work if the clinic you went to does not do a free check-up.

The clinic I went to does a free follow up, but they're not open on the weekends. 2 vets have told me what to watch for. If there's redness, heat, discharge, or if she starts acting lethargic, I have to bring her in. Otherwise, I can wait until Monday. She's actually totally normal and even with this lump, it's not red or painful. I just saw so many identical pictures on this site, I had hoped that someone would have come back with an update after their vet visit or after time passed. But so far, I'm not seeing any of those.

Hopefully she will be fine. However my cat had none of those symptoms, and she still had a serious infection, and a reaction to the suture materials. Its often very hard to tell whats going on underneath. I would say definitely take her in on Monday. If the Lump is as large as it was for this original poster, i would take her in now.
