Hi everyone,
Out of a litter of 4, one kitten is not taking to solids at 8 weeks!
She will nibble at cooked chicken or fish but won't touch anything else, she drinks water fine and is correct with weight.
Mum only lets her suckle for minutes before walking off now so she really does need to start eating properly.
The vet seems to think when mum stops feeding completely then she will start taking the solids but I'm not convinced.
She licks the gravy off of the meat & licks kitten biscuits but doesn't actually eat them. Various different brands have been offered all to no avail. Have tried chicken baby food, kitten formula mixed into kitten feed, nothing takes her interest except tid bits of chicken breast or fish.
Is this just a very fussy kitten and if so what can I try as I'm worried she'll start to deteriorate once mum stops feeding completely.
