Beyond offering plain boiled chicken or white rice, you can give her clear pedialyte to drink, or mix it into her water. The electrolytes are good for her. The vet can give her an anti-nausea medication. You may want to look into that. It's not good for her to go longer than a day without eating. Not eating can lead quickly to fatty liver problems in cats.

Ok will try that. She did come greet the kids, sniffed her food but went back up to my room to sleep. Will have my husband pick up some pedialyte on his way home from work and I am making chicken for dinner tonight so will also make some for her and see if she will eat it. If not I will call the vet.

Sounds like a plan. It's good she greeted the kids. Hopefully the chicken will appeal to her, even just a few tiny pieces.

I can tell she is hungry, she was just sniffing her food again... I tried to go in and look at her nipples so I can tell what they look like now and can compare them if i need to in a few weeks but she hated me touching her in her belly and kicked me with her back legs. She has been sleeping in that spot most of the day. I notice my other cat is always "watching" her where as before she didn't pay much attention to her. She must know she doesn't feel well. While I am typing this she is back up and "calling" at the window again so that is a good sign? She did for a couple min. then went running back upstairs and is quiet again so probably going back to sleep.

Do you think she's behaving like she's still in heat?
Ya she is still in heat, she was up a good part of the night "calling" - so that is probably why she is sleeping so much today, and she was just calling at he window for a couple min again then ran back upstairs

Oh, good. Are you going to go ahead and schedule her spay?
The earliest I could get an appt for after calling area low cost spay is end of May. I have the appointment but if she turns out to be pregant at that point I won't get it done until afterwards. I won't terminate especially that far in.

It does sound like she may be at the tail end of her heat cycle.

I hope so. She was up on and off through out the night calling again last night. She also must be feeling better because she ate her food this morning and is going between calling at the window and fighting/playing with our other cat.

Just be sure to keep her inside from now until her spay appointment and hopefully it's not too late. Keep us updated and keep asking questions either way!

You can also always tell vets that you'll come in if there's a cancellation.

So I was looking at my calendar on the times milkshake got out. The first time she got out was about 2 1/2 weeks ago.  I know IF she is pregnant her nipples will pink up around 3 weeks. Will the complete nipple turn pink or just at the base? Milkshakes are red just at the base, like a red ring around it. I know its still early but is that what i should be looking for? Also they are not flattish anymore but starting to stick out.  She doesn't much like me petting her belly (never really has) but before when I would pet it, you couldn't fell them, but now you can... I took a pic but its not the greatest as she didn't want me messing with her so i will try to get a better one. I know its still a bit early, but figured i would ask because i have a couple times she got out so I want to try to catch it so I can better judge how far she might be if she got pregnant the 1st time she got out of the last time she got out.

The pic isn't that great but right at the base of that nipple, its all red, like a ring around it.
