View media item 283213

3. Make post #5000 in this thread for a mega prize bundle:

A TCS teeshirt  + tote bag + a $100 Amazon gift card!

The winner can choose any teeshirt design and any tote bag design from the TCS store!

4. Make the post with ID#4000000 anywhere on the site and you too will get a mega prize bundle!

A TCS teeshirt  + tote bag + a $100 Amazon gift card!

That's a total of six winners in this contest - five of them in this thread and one more anywhere on the site.

I'm really excited to see who that person will be. It can be any member, anywhere on the site!

The Rules

To make things fair and fun, a single member can win once in this contest. Once a member has won, he/she is more than welcome to keep on babbling with us here but if they end up the next winning post, we'll move up one post to choose another winner.

1. Minimum of 15 words per post. Don't bother with counting words. Just make sure your posts are longer than one line and you should be ok.

2. Proper English. Please don't just hit randomly at your keyboard. No gibberish allowed and as with other posts on the site, try to avoid texting abbreviations.

3. Comprehensible posts. Your posts can be drivel, but they still need to make sense. Avoid using automated text generators. It's a babbling thread, but we still expect you to communicate with your fellow members.

4.Original posts only. Please do not copy and paste text from another source. Not even from this site. Not even if you were the author. Just write something fresh for this thread.

5. No consecutive posts.  You can't add a reply if yours is the last post in the thread. If anyone starts talking to themselves to speed things up, they risk getting banned from this thread.

6. To be eligible for any of the prizes you must be over 18 (eighteen) years of age.

7. The catnip toys prize can be shipped to a US or Canada address only. The winner must provide a local US or Canada address.

The contest ends once we reach 5000 posts. Another HUGE challenge for us as a community as the last babble thread. I wonder if post #4000000 will be before or after we get to the 5000th post in this thread?

Let's get the thread rolling! Good morning posts and positive thoughts to start this off with are very welcome! Just make sure they follow the rules!

As promised, here's how to tell what a post's unique ID is!

Each post is given its unique ID number which you can see once you open a post in a separate window. How do you that? It's easy, just follow this example:

1. Navigate to the page where our site rules are.

2. Click on the number of the post in the thread like so -

3. After you click, the web address in your browser should reflect the unique post's URL which includes its ID:

Which means the forum rules post has ID number 3149531! That was quite a while ago!

Does she look more alert, or is she just a bit shocked to read all of the babbling posts?
(I'm assuming it's a she because of the pink laptop).

The same "stray" cat keeps getting turned in at the shelter. Gizmo loves kids and follows them home, then plays "starving kitty". :lol3: His owner is short of funds, so the shelter had Gizmo microchipped today, and he's going to get one of Mogli's old Beastie Bands, since he removes any other kind of collar.

That's funny about Gizmo. There was a stray kitty in my old neighborhood that constantly showed up at my door. He learned very quick that if he needed a meal he'd get one from me.

Now I keep seeing a feral who cuts through my backyard. My 14 year old daughter chased after him with a huge plate of fancy feast. He bolted. Now there's a plate of fancy feast hanging out by my fence. The ants must be thrilled.

It might be a little of both.

I put a game for cats on my tablet that has a little mouse that runs around the screen and gives the cat points when he/she successfully "catches" the mouse. When I'm reading a book or playing a game, Sophie will climb in my lap to watch so I'll bring up her game. She will go for the mouse for a minute or so and after that, she will watch the mouse run around the screen and look at me like, "aren't you going to get that?" So I tap the mouse to keep it going. After a few minutes of this, I ask her, "why am I playing YOUR game?" She has me trained so well.

Mogli is addicted to his "raven game" (Cat Toys, a smartphone/tablet game). He uses the tablet more than anybody. :lol3: He doesn't understand why the game isn't on my Kindle, though (same covers for both).

My cats have never, ever played a game on my tablet / phone.
Do yours really like this? I've got an android. What apps to you recommend for them?

Jake and Tyrion both like to chew on the corners of my tablet. Maybe they are trying to tell me something.

Lily and Henry couldn't care less about it. Sophie will watch me read or play games and then swat at the screen so that's why I put a game on there for her. She will swat at the mouse a few times but more often than not, she won't tap the mouse hard enough for it to stop so she'll get bored and want me to do it. She loses interest in it rather quickly. I might put another game on there for her to try.

I'm going to check out the Google play store and see what they have to offer. Can't tell the human kids around here. They are banned from touching my phone & tablet.

My cats don't play on my tablet but last night one of my girls was intently watching food network, diners drive ins and dives. Maybe she was hungry lol.
