As if having an 11 year old with stomatitis isn't enough... my 14 year old (Skye) had what looked for all the world like a short, seconds-long seizure. We were out in the garden where I was tending my potatoes. She came trotting up all perky and happy... tail up high, ears up, eyes bright and shining. She sat down on the porch about 20 feet from me just watching me work. Next thing I heard (with my back turned) was a thump. I looked over and there was Skye flopping on the ground. She had rolled off the porch, about a 6" drop so not a real fall, and looked like she was struggling to get up. I picked her up, and she blinked and looked at me like, "What? What the
just happened?"
I immediately looked her over quickly as I took her inside. Didn't see anything, no strange odors, and she seemed like she was rapidly "normalizing" from whatever had just happened. I got her to the vet as fast as I could by cab (that driver hauled "donkey"!) and they worked us right in (awesome job!). By then she was perfectly fine, acting normal for being at the vet, and she is fine right now at home. Blood work is unremarkable, other than her usual high eosinophil count from chronic allergies and a slightly high SDMA which we know about. Everything else is the same as last time, 4 months ago.
This is confusing, and now we have TWO cats flaking out on us.
What the fur??
