Do I let my kitties sleep on the bed with me? Of course! Wouldn't have it any other way, it feels unnatural otherwise. Sure, I might physically contorted once in awhile but meh
wouldn't have it any other way.  I grew up sleeping with German Shepherds and a Jack Russell. Nothing new and it's all good!

So what if there are supposed health problems associated with it? If it is the case I would rather live a shorter life cuddling with my cats (Who give me emotional/psychological comfort) than live a longer life without them. Worth it!

In any case, as others brought up, animals not only give us mental support and soothingness, but it is also great for our immune systems.

My mom used to work with a woman who has Crohn's Disease.  It seems horrible.  Your immune system turns against your own body.  I guess they aren't totally sure what causes it, but they believe it's partially due to your immune system not having enough to fight.  So, sleep with your pets and let your kids play in the dirt!!!  LOL

Cat behaviorist Jackson Galaxy suggests feeding right before bedtime and also playing right before bedtime, so your cat will be tired out and more inclined to settle.  Cats are crepuscular, though -- they are naturally most active at dawn and dusk, and that is when their prey is out, so that is when they hunt.  A good play session will give your cat the opportunity to "hunt" and then a little food or some treats will be "prey".  In time, you should experience more calm and restful sleep with your cat!

It's especially useful with small kittens! Wear them out and they're out like furry little lights . . . .

So I've heard.  And it almost caused problems with her pregnancies.  Her first baby was horribly premature - born at around 5 and a half months.  Regardless, he ended up being perfectly normal.  Then she got on the shot, which is known to stop periods and cause weight gain. Baby 1 was so early, she didn't really know what kicks felt like so when she started getting them, she just thought they were gas bubbles.  Quite a shock when she found out she was 6 months pregnant.  And she'd been taking Crohn's medications the whole time.  Again, baby ended up being perfectly normal, but still.  Scary.  Poor woman was so upset and worried the last few months - afraid she'd damaged her child with the meds.

All my cats have normally slept on my bed - and most behind me against my back and occasionally under covers, but some Rescues have been very nervous on this one. My current girl lve had 3 years from Rescue @

2yo and is a strong minded: l will do what l want girl. She spends most early nights on back or front windowsill and often l wake with her on my feet - or having been shoved over. She will never come on other side of bed, no encouragement works. She was either dumped before l had her or the young owners moved away and left her - she apparently went into others' catflaps for food and was thus taken to Rescue. l wd have taken

her in of course. You can always see signs of 'self sufficiency' forced on her at a young age. She has 'dared' under covers 3x but not for long and she doesnt stay long on laps either. She has a new cat tower from Zooplus with scratch surface all round and bed on top - this was ignored for some time, but since winter months she loves it and is often curled up on top. l wdnt ever worry about Cats on beds unless l had very lowered

immunity.

l can so sympathise with the guy who wants to take Looie and l hope he does as cat obviously likes it with him, and l wd try somehow still to take Rescues. Cd you try Go Fund Me for some financial help or l believe

some Rescues may help financially. l wd so much like to foster (if mine allowed me!) but only have one bedroom and small hall - unlike the ideal conditions we see with Dr Nworb and the KitKats. All the best

Yes, I do or rather they allow me to sleep in "their" bed. Usually my oldest girl claims the pillow, the three boys pick various spots on the bed, all snuggled together my baby boy, he is the one I raised from a bottle sleeps along side me and the youngest girl under the covers. It's actually nice in the winter, only one or two stay in the bed in the summer.

Does your cat sleep with you at night?

YES!  With my husband and I or our son

Do you like it or dislike it?

Me:         It's ok, gets too hot sometimes.

Hubby   If it gets too hot I just roll over.  LOL

Son:      I like it

Do you believe what some doctors say is true, that sleeping with your pet can lead to health problems?

Me           NO

Hubby    No, if you have an allergy maybe

Son:        NO

Where does your cat sleep in your bed?

Me          In between my legs, calves or knees and she does not move.

Hubby   On the side

Son:      Foot of the bed.

Why do you think cats do this?

Me          That whole "pride" mentality, She wants to be with her family.

Hubby   To be close to somebody

Son:      because they love us

I’m happy to report Cucumella has been sleeping with me again for the last three nights doing her best to be a good girl giving up her excursions on top of the pillows stepping on my face.  In fact she now begins and ends her nights laying on the same spot next to me even if  she indulges in some “strolling” all over the bed in between.
