I am starting to visit other areas and finally figured out some of the games.  @Margd
you crack me up!  All those science answers and questions.  Forget Google,I now have a scrabble dictionary next to my laptop.
So that's how you are coming up with all of the words! :lol3:

I remember when you PMed me and removed my siggy because it was too tall. :disa:   You meanie. :wndw:

I think I PM'd almost everyone on the site about that! :lol3: I'm so glad I don't have to do that anymore.

I definitely remember the first to post me when I first joined this site, it was back in 2012, December 23, and I was heartbroken about losing my Chrissy. It was jcat, and I clung to the post like a lifeline, i  vowed right then that I would comfort every person that came on this Crossing the Bridge site, it meant SO much to me to have my pain acknowledged.
At times I have a difficult time going into that part of the forum. I so appreciate that you do this. :heart2:

I think I've been scolded at least once by every mod on the Mod List, actually. :lol3:
Now there's a goal! :lol3: Don't try this one at home kids. :lol3:

This probably wasn't a fair question to ask because like so many of you said, there are too many to mention.

When I joined the site in 2005, I was dealing with the loss of my soul mate cat, Max. Rosiemac was the first person I connected with. I was having problems with posting pictures and she helped me. After that, Hope Hacker helped me. At that time we had a signature in our profile which showed up in each post. She made one for me with pictures of my two cats and my Rainbow Bridge cat. She is no longer with us, but she was a great friend and asset to The Cat Site.

The very first person to welcome me was KittensMom, and we have become fast friends.  Also very early on, I made the acquaintance of Margd, whom I deeply admire, and of Margaret, who is also now a fast friend.  There are many, many others whom I like and so look forward to interacting with, but these were among the very first.

I joined when I adopted Sundar, as he had major health issues.  It was Laurie @LDG and Lauren @Feralvr who offered comfort and support first and made me feel really at home.  I also felt that @Winchester, @AbbysMom and @jcat had my back.
I didn't get any mentor messages as I came in 'through the back door'.  I don't think I have a New Cats on the Block thread... !

And as time went on I've had some great times with @FhiCat and @nurseangel

I think, though, that there was just a general feeling of friendliness and belonging that made me want to stay here.

This is a great idea for a thread.

I first joined TCS when my beloved George went missing 3 years ago. i got a lot of support from @Mani  and @ShadowsRescue  at that time.

I was trying to get all the neighborhood cats TNR'd back then and @Ondine  and @Feralvr  gave me some great advice. Looking back at those early posts now I'm quite ashamed of how clueless I was.

I've also had a lot of fun chatting to @Kat0121  We've been able to bond over our shared troubles of Persian Cats Who Refuse To Be Brushed. @JTbo  seems to lead a  similar life to me, we both post about our days spent chopping wood and shoveling snow.

@Stewball  I hope I don't scare you.

Everyone ignores FhiCat.
But that's okay, I ignored @Draco when I first joined too. I was too intimidated by the sudden niceness. Forums aren't usually this nice. I thought they were going to kidnap me and sell my kidneys. The cycle of ignoring must continue!

My earliest friends were @cat nap and @Angels mommy. And @Mani when I found out we were culturally similar.

Like everyone else, I've had my own share of scoldings from mods. I think I've been scolded at least once by every mod on the Mod List, actually.
(@FhiCat ...you still have that amazing ability for making people laugh.
)  But I remember things slightly differently. Back when I joined, it was you who first befriended me, and made me feel welcome.

You stood up for me on @Angels mommy tree thread. @Angels mommy, @Mani,and @Abbys Mom were also super kind to me. I figured that if people like this were around here, it's a good place to be.

( I would have thought that by being a 'team member'...you might have had some immunity from scoldings.
..ooops...I guess not.
It's nice to know that the mods, treat everyone, the same.

My mentor was @betsygee...and sent a  very welcoming PM, and answered some of the oddest questions I had about avatars, re-editing posts, and purraise. (I had to look back at the PM)

I was fortunate, because when I joined the 'Babble 2014' thread was around, and got to know many members that way. @GemsGem and @katachtig sent me helpful PMs during that thread.

Another regular member that made me feel welcome was @Krashballz. who didn't mind that I followed her around, and asked her things through PM.

And @JTbo's posts were always friendly, interesting and helpful. @ms waise and @MissSweetKitty, too.  We were all newbies and learning about the Site, playing games, and talking about our cats.

Recently, I also have to say that @mickNsnicks2mom has one of the warmest, and giving hearts on the Site. Her posts/threads are always full of information.

When I started to follow some advisors, it was @catwoman707,@Stephen Q, and @MServant at the time, who answered questions on Site, and in PMs, making me feel welcome.
