Congratulations! [emoji]128522[/emoji]

Are they all here now? And you've got your Fuzzybutt look-alike too! Wow, so glad you didn't terminate. Look how close she was! [emoji]128149[/emoji]

i know!!! i'm really glad i didn't terminate too. they're all here now, there's SIX omg. two dark orange and white ones like princess, one white with a few orange spots, and three beautiful mostly black calico girls!! and one of the girls HAS FUZZYBUTT'S NOSE MARKING. they're so precious omg.

i do have a question - they've been kinda noisy for most of the night, i'm wondering if she's able to feed them all.. should i get some formula and help her out?

Yes, I would get some KMR and be ready to supplement.  In the meantime you can rotate the kittens.  Mom is still producing colostrum and all the kittens need it.

alright, i got some KMR and gave them all 6mL. they figured out how to get it out of the syringe REAL fast lmao. i thought i would try and supplement in 3-4 hours again? in case she's feeding them. they went back to nursing on her but they're a little quieter now. :)

scratch that- one is still being a real squealer haha!

You know what to do! Just keep supplementing until you think they are getting enough from mom. Sometimes it can take a couple of days for the milk to come in fully. The runts may need more for awhile! [emoji]128522[/emoji]

Hey guys! I just managed a super quick photoshoot of Princess's babies that were born last night to show off for you all!

and last but not least... Fuzzybutt's look alike daughter!!

here's her daddy!

i'm really happy about her especially because Fuzzybutt had a surprise! baby boy with a foster that had his unique little nose marking back in November who i really loved, but he died on Christmas day...

RIP Romeo. I miss him to bits still. i was thinking of naming her something similar in his honor.

hey guys,

my cat princess had kittens last night and they're precious. but they seem to meow a LOT, almost constantly. i thought it was maybe them being cold, but i've got the heat on high and i put an electric blanket under their blanket. i thought perhaps they were hungry, and i've been supplementing their meals all day and switching them around to try and get each kitten some time to nurse, but they seem to continue meowing and are always trying to suckle on their mom. i haven't seen them sleep much at all today. i'm really kinda worried something is going on.

Are you weighing them to make sure they're actually gaining as needed? Have they been pottied? Do they have a place to go if they're too warm?

i don't have a proper scale to weigh them. :( and i'm not sure if they've eliminated, i was pretty certain princess would do that... they do, the pad only covers half the box.

They're adorable. I would recommend getting a scale asap. It's the only way to be sure.

i went and saw if they would eliminate .. only two had to pee, so i think princess IS taking care of it, lol.

i helped her feed them again and they've gotten quiet now. i might just need to help feed every feeding.

Maybe just check in often and encourage them to eat as much as you can. Hope everyone gets settled in soon! The first 48 hours can be tough while everyone adjusts. [emoji]128522[/emoji]

The first day or two mom produces the colostrum so the kittens may be hungry.  Hopefully her milk will come in fully tomorrow.  Otherwise you are going to hve to supplement.

They are so cute!

They are absolutely beautiful! I'm in love with the calico!

I agree that if they are mewing a lot they are hungry. Satisfied kittens are quiet and go to sleep. It does sound like mom's milk is not fully in. As Handsome Kitty said, it can take a couple of days. I'm guessing you'll only need to supplement for a couple of days, and then they'll be just on mom. Glad you have KMR and know how to do it!

Will you keep the Fuzzybutt baby? [emoji]128522[/emoji]

thanks @sarthur2! :D yeah i've already noticed the difference between today and yesterday. they're staying latched on for longer + sleeping afterwards. i'm still needing to supplement a few of them though, but not HALF as much as i did yesterday.

i probably will .. i've already named her Shay. :)

It sounds like everyone is settling!

Is Fuzzybutt neutered at this point? I'm sure you don't want any additional kitten action!
