I was about to say it's the last Monday of February; but it's a leap year!  So next Monday is the last Monday of February. I always look forward to March because that's usually when spring comes around here.  I'm already looking for robins though!

How long do you spend on your hair in the morning?

Right now my hair is probably 3/4 of the way down my back.  So I am NOT spending time drying and styling it every day.  I wash and let it air dry a bit before I pull it back.  I use a little smoothing milk to help control it. My hair has a little wave to it; so it helps me not look like so much like a Sasquatch or a woolly mammoth or an 80s rocker.
Basically a hairy beast.  I used to blow dry it and curl the ends.  I have long layers cut into it; so it looks nice when I do it. I just don't have the patience.  If I blow dry it; it takes me about 15 minutes.  So if I curl or straighten it; even longer.  I don't see the point now that I'm home more often than not!

But next week I'm getting it cut off!  I've let it grow this long so I can do a good donation again.  The last time I did it I sent 14"!!  This time I don't think it will be that much.  I'm hoping to leave enough hair that I can still pull some back.  Especially once it's time to get the garden going.  The problem is that I'll probably have to start drying it with a blow dryer or those waves will give me volume in all the wrong places.
But I'm still very excited!  My hair is heavy and it starts giving me headaches.  It also gets wrapped around my neck at night if I toss and turn.  Or DH lays on it if he rolls my way.  I've been putting it in a side braid some nights.

So I guess we will see if it really takes me longer to do my hair.  I'm guessing I'll need less than 10 minutes though.  So more than now; but less than it would if I tried to actually do something with it right now.

I hate doing my hair. I have hair down to my butt. I don't do anything to it. I wash it and put it up in a bun or just messy bun. I use the heater vents in my truck to air dry in the morning as its a 40 minute commute..as someone who has long hair I am sure you all are aware of the "hair spiders". Shed like crazy. I often sit on it or sleeping I have to keep it up otherwise it ticks me off tickling my face/neck. Some mornings I don't bother drying it. I just let it hang dry and where I work we have ovens so I will lean against it for a few minutes and it helps speed it up. my hair is very straight but thick. I cant brush it when its wet. I have to wait for it to dry otherwise it makes a huge rats nest.

I haven't decided how long to let it grow. I have bangs and used to do long layers. The problem is no amount of mouse/gel/hairspray will hold a curl longer than a few hours so I didn't bother. High school. Yuck. I chopped it off super short because I didn't want to play hair stylist every morning. I prefer to sleep.  For now if I don't go to work I just sit in the sun in the summer or winter-sit in front of the heater vent at home...I work most days so usually I just let the air dry it from the heater vents in my truck.

If I use a hair dryer it fizzes up and makes a rats nest. I don't know how long I will let it grow. It needs a good 4-6 inches chopped off because its snarling again. I used to only cut an inch off but its not enough...long hair or short hair=the same for me-I don't have the patience to style etc. plus the chemicals make my scalp itch and I hate the smell of hair spray. Yeah I am weird...

I used to have hair down to my butt. Thick and wavy too. It took forever just to comb it out. I usually just kept it in a ponytail or braid. Now it's short and I much prefer it this way. In the morning I just comb it straight down, then wet down all the sticky-up parts, so I look like Moe from The 3 Stooges :lol3:, then when I get to work I run a comb through it and fluff it a bit to make it not look like Moe, lol. Much faster.

With me being a sahm I should do more but I dont. My hair used to be down in middle of my back and all I did was put it up and go. Now its just above my shoulders and if I am not going any where like most days I let it air dry and it gets some curl to it. On the rare occasions I go some where I blow dry and run a curling iron through it just to tame the fuzz.

It depends on how long it's been since it was cut. It's short and wavy, so usually just has to be combed and left to air dry. That means

My hair has always been very fine and thin, and not quite straight so anything other than short is not good.  I only had it cut last week so great at the moment as I can get away with not even blow drying after I wash it when I shower so pretty much zero time.  I get out of the shower, give my hair a quick towel dry, rub some gel or what ever through my hair so it's roughly in the right place and that's it.   When it needs cut again it gets to the point I have to blow dry with a brush for maybe 1 minute but that's about it.

My hair is short.. shorter than chin-length. If I shower night before, I usually attack my hair with the straightening iron.. takes me about 10 minutes. If I shower in the morning, I blow it out, then use the straightening iron.. takes me about 20-25 minutes at that point. My hair naturally parts in the center, so I use a little styling gel to tame it to the side.

I need to get it trimmed some time this week. maybe I'll go today at lunch. That's the problem with very short hair, it doesn't always grow out nicely. gotta keep up with it.

After years of washing my hair every single day, I've finally gotten to the point where I wash my hair twice a week. That's it. Wash, condition, comb, dry. Probably about 20 minutes. I really don't have more time than that in the morning. Til I'm finished with everything else, time is at a premium.

On the days that I don't wash my hair, I love being able to brush, mist a bit, brush again, and go.

Having a cleaning business, I just twist it up in a bun most days. If I have just had my hair done, I will do a ponytail, because it's blown out smooth & straight.  If I have to blow it out & flat iron it, it takes a long time! 25-35 minutes, so that doesn't get done often. Usually only if I have weekend plans, then I can get a few days out of the effort!  If I use the diffuser for my natural curls, it still takes a good 20 minutes to dry & fix, so either get done often, unless i have plans.  I had 2 inches cut off on my last apt. (5 wks ago). My next apt. is this Saturday for color. I have to get that done every 5 wks!  So usually just cut every other time. But have been thinking about a couple more inches, but will always have at least shoulder length hair. I have to wear it up too often, & have too many funky waves (not good ones)  to cut short. I did that once years ago, but because of that, is much more work, because I had to do it everyday!  I also like to do different styles to change it up sometimes, so like the flexibility of having some length.  "I think it's a Leo thing."

Maybe 15 minutes?

Washing takes no time.  Blow drying is minimal - I just blow dry my hair upside down, no brushes required to shape/style. It's cut mid length and layers so it just falls into place.  Weekends I might air dry if I have time.

I can't be bothered to more than that.  My time in the morning to get myself together is too precious and short.

Oh, yes, I forgot the washing part. I only wash my hair twice a week (it gets cranky if washed more often than that---frizzy and straw-like, even with conditioner). But I prefer to shower at night so that doesn't take any time in the morning. I leave the conditioner in for several minutes or it doesn't do much. But I like a long shower so that's no problem :D.

My hair's relatively short now (I fried it really bad last year trying to bleach it myself and ended up slowly cutting most of it off), and I haven't figured out how to do anything with this length yet. So, no styling.
I do wash it every day (it gets really greasy... trying to cut back though, any suggestions?), but I just comb it out, wrap it up in a towel until is not dripping, and let it air dry.
Very occasionally, I'll blowdry and straighten. Takes maybe half an hour?? I actually don't like my hair straight as much as I used to, but I haven't figured out curling irons yet and it's not really long enough to braid like I did before my last rage-cut (:() so, straight is sorta my only option for now if I want it to look better than normal.
It's gonna be higher-maintenance soon, I'm bleaching it again (with my cousin's help this time!). I kinda hate the effort that blonde hair requires, but it's worth it for the fun colors I can put in it!

...with the cats...
my hair is extremely short, shorter than a buzz cut. i keep it that way, using hair trimmers at home as it needs it. so, i just towel dry my head with it's thin layer of hair over it when i get out of the shower. that takes a couple minutes.

i wash my hair/scalp twice a week, so most mornings i simply get out of bed and don't give my hair a thought.

My hair is a little longer than my shoulders and I can dry and straighten it in about 10 minutes because it's really thin.

My hair is somewhere between waist and fanny.  I've very carefully trained it not to need washing more than once every week to 10 days, occasionally less time in the summer months (the more you wash your hair, the more active the oil glands are, and the more you need to wash it).  That said, I also never brush my hair (another oil stimulator).  Takes me about five minutes to comb out the tangles, re-part, and clip.

When I found out my 2nd child was going to be a boy I thought how nice it would be to only have to deal with styling one kids hair in the morning. I didn't consider how often he would need it cut!!

To make matters worse; he resembles Justin Bieber when its long and in his face. :cringe: (I'm not the first to say that either.) If you try to part it he looks like John Ritter!

See I am the opposite here. I get my hair thickness from my fathers side. It sounds nice; but his hair is so thick that it stands right up. Especially in the back. Mine isn't as thick; but it's definitely unruly when its too short. Low maintenance for me means wet pony tail length i guess!

Most days it get a dollop of conditioner brushed through with a wet brush. I only wash it once a week and I have to leave it to air dry. It's long enough to sit on when it's wet and is really curly so it takes forever to dry.

My hair is super short on the sides and back, and about chin length on top. I have fine hair and no patience, so if I can't finger comb it right out of a bath, it's too long. I also hate conditioner. It's heavy and greasy. Got smacked with a hairstylist comb once for saying as much too! So, I don't go to stylists anymore. It gets washed twice a week.

Another vote for as little as possible. Usually it's less than 5 minutes I really don't like the cut I have right now, so it's not falling into place well and I need to spend a little longer on it.
