As far as I can tell, yes it is fully furred. its struggling to latch on. Mums cleaning keeps knocking her off the nipple

It is good for the kittens if you can handle them some daily from birth on so they will learn human smell immediately along with their mothers smell.  You dont have to pick them up if you dont want to but get your hands in there and rub on them.  The mamas dont usually mind as soon as they see you are not taking the kittens or harming them.

You'll want to really make sure these kittens latch well and nurse strongly, as they are tiny. Anything under about 90 grams is considered premature birth weight. You may end up needing to supplement otherwise.

My goodness - all 3 are tiny so far! Was she a stray before the RSPCA got her? Wondering how long she went without proper nutrition.

How is mom holding up with the births so far?

Mum is snoozing at the moment. She's doing well. Vet said she was really healthy. They didn't come from RSPCA. A lady in the road had them, found out they were pregnant and couldn't cope. I agreed to take them on as I would make sure they would find forever homes. Already have homes for 5. I'll also ensure they get neutered.
The ginger stray is being done tomorrow.

She just has tiny babies I guess. Are they nursing while mom is sleeping? Do you think that mom is done or not yet?

Number 4 has been born. Mum is very vocal with this one. Number 4 is 69g - so very slightly bigger. Have just checked scales are weighing correctly and they are - good thought. Mum is a very small cat, I think that there may another kitten yet to be born...I might be wrong but I think I can still see at least one more inside her.

Four! She's done a good job so far. Are the kittens nursing well so far?
