Hey everyone - my 8 month old Hector was neutered Wednesday, along with his mother, Rachel, who was spayed. Rachel was back on her feet yesterday morning and has pretty much been back to normal (with limited activity). Hector, on the other hand, has pretty much been asleep since. He's been up to potty and has made very limited visits to the food and water bowl. He walks like an old man. No jumping. He meows for someone to lift him onto the couch. My husband says he's just "avoiding reality". [emoji]128527[/emoji]
His bottom appears to be ok - no swelling, drainage or bleeding. His eyes are clear, no fever.
Is Hector just a big drama queen? I've never seen a male cat have so much difficulty after a neuter.[emoji]128580[/emoji]

I wonder if Hector was given too much sedation or is having a reaction to the anesthesia. I would call the vet and tell them about this. Cats don't exaggerate their discomfort. They hide it. Hector should definitely be feeling okay by now.

Thanks - I'll give them a call if he's not better tomorrow!
