My 5 month old longhair kitten has ringworm and is being given treatment twice a day. I was wondering if it was safe to let her temporarily reside in a kennel until she recovers. Is putting her in a kennel a safe for her because I do not want the infection to progress. The kennel is likely going to be contaminated with ringworm and is this only going to progress her infection?

What do you mean by "kennel"?  Do you mean board her at a facility?  I don't think they'll take her if she has ringworm.  I would think your best bet is to keep her in a room that doesn't have any carpet, maybe like a bathroom?  But someplace where she can have some room to play and have her litterbox and toys, etc. and hopefully a window to look out.

By kennel, do you mean a crate/carrier? That would be extremely tough on a 5-month-old kitten, because the treatment takes several weeks. A normal cat-sized carrier would be far too small, too. You'd need an extra-large dog crate at the very least, and you'd still have to take her out of it every day for treatment, interaction and cleaning. Confining her to a small room without carpets, drapes, etc., as mrsgreenjeens mrsgreenjeens suggested, would keep her sane, and the clean-up wouldn't be too bad.

Out of curiosity, just how bad is the ringworm, and where exactly is it? Penelopy had a tiny patch of ringworm that got treated, but otherwise we didn't confine her or anything else. Nothing got contaminated and no one else got it (myself included). And she was even wrestling with my boys during that time!
