Hello. I'm Hatchytt, my boyfriend is Rune, and our furbaby is Hecate. She's about five months old and pretty much runs the joint. She's more Rune's kitty than mine... Or, rather, he's more her human, since I'm the disciplinarian of the parental units. That's right, I'm the one who won't let her get on the coffee table or kitchen counters. Not that she can make the jump to the counters yet. But, she's a lovey little twit when she wants to be. It's been a really wonderful three months since my brother in law found this mute black kitten and begged us to take her in because Rune's mother believes her to be "mala suerte". And she is actually a mute. She has never actually made a single proper cat noise, and not for lack of trying! One of her favorite activities is to "yell" at the apartment door because my neighbors let their cats walk the halls. But, since she has no voice, we've been leery of letting her go play with the "neighborhood cats". Anyhow, that should be enough for a hello post, so... The end

Okay, photo time! Please pardon the quality of the photos. It's so bloody difficult to get a good photo of a black cat.

This is the first pic I ever got of our furbaby. She's still pretty scared in this, but some boiled chicken helped her get over the scared real quick.

This is her with her first little box.

Hecate sitting on her "house". She doesn't like the house anymore... Sad panda...

First half-decent photo I got with her eyes. She doesn't sit still well for photo ops...

Hecate playing in Rune's lap... although... I'm not sure if that's how you're supposed to play with the dot...

In her collar. She took to the collar surprisingly quickly. Although, it was quite annoying when she figured out how to take off the bell... (Bowties are cool!).

She plays a bit rough. But, I crocheted her a stuffed playmate. We call the playmate Quasimodo because I'm not expert at crocheting.

I mentioned in another post how she likes to steal shiny things off the table. So I put some dragon tears on the table for her to "steal". She loses interest in them pretty quickly after they hit the floor, because she can't pick them back up.

Last one. I just took this one a bit ago.

She's standing on the back of the couch refusing to stand still for a photo. She's a willful little bugger, but we love her.

Thanks. I do wonder about her breed. She's got shorter hair on most of her body, but her tail has quite long fur.

And she's grown a lot in the three months we've had her. She's getting to be a big girl!

Thanks! I'm not sure where else to put pics of our furbaby, so I'll put them here.

This one would scandalize my Rune if he knew I was posting it, but it does illustrate how big Ms. Hecate is getting! She still has some growing to do, but she's gonna be a big girl when she gets to full grown!

Hecate having a "ball of fluff" nap.

I just took this photo. got her eyes in it. She's half-napping in the white plastic patio chair "throne" she loves so much.

Her eyes are beautiful! Are they green? I can't tell what color my cat's eyes are. They seem to be greenish, but they are light. Sometimes they appear yellowish...I just don't know with her LOL! [emoji]128522[/emoji]

So cute.  One of my cats likes to steal pens from my desk.  I find them all over the house.  I think it's in their DNA.

I caught her just a bit ago trying to steal my tweezers. I'm fairly sure she's part magpie. Anything shiny is fair game. Had to stop putting the dragon tears on the table to give her something to steal because she figured out how to pick them up in her mouth.

My Lilith likes to take my stuff too. Yesterday I found an Amazon gift card that I had gotten for my birthday on my bedroom floor. She likes to stash her ill gotten goods under the bed but I guess she dropped it. It had been on the coffee table in the living room. I wonder what she was planning on ordering for herself.

She is a beautiful baby!!

@Mamanyt1953  has the equally beautiful Hekitty
Why, thank you, KaT0121!  Yes, she is named for the same Lady, I just couldn't resist playing with the spelling a little bit!

Hecate is a beautiful little girl.  I know she's giving you both a run for your money, Hatchytt.  They are so like that at that age!

Yeah... And I keep buying her toys! Just today, she got a new wand and four new foily balls. She really likes the shiny crinkly foily balls. They're light weight, so she can pick them up in her paws and roll around with them... And they're oh so shiny!

Oh... And I bought Rune an eight pack of Guinness to make up for all the wet food and toys I've bought the kitten this week.

Hi, and welcome!
I have a black cat, too, and I know how tough it is to get good photos.  Just so you know, you can also post photos in the Black Cats Only forum, and you can start a Cat Page for your kitty, too.
