two little girls who jaspurr and i have adopted!
Allie...
DeeDee... (hard to see, but she's stopped playing to clean her face a bit in this pic)
deedee is quite hard to photograph! not only because she's almost completely black (has a white spot on her chest, and a bikini bottom shaped white patch on her lower tummy), but because she's almost always 'on the move'! allie is also polydactyl, with one extra toe complete with claw on each front paw! they're both just a handful of days over 4 1/2 months old now; born just 4 days apart. they were with the same foster, and know each other very well.
i chose deedee because i believe she'll be a very good match for our jaspurr, and because he needs 'female and younger than he is' to be comfortable with other cats generally. allie happened to be at the adoption event the day i went to meet deedee -- was in the crate with deedee, but had i been able to read a profile with her purrsonality i surely would have chosen her too!
our jaspurr is really pretty quickly becoming more and more comfortable with his new girls. it's just been almost 3 days since our little ones arrived, and our jaspurr's world basically turned upside down. just last night, they had their first (short) supervised visit. both girls quickly fell in love with jaspurr, through the screen door i installed between the kitchen and living room. logistically, the living room is really the only and best room for the girls safe room. we're using both the screen door and an XL sized dog crate, with shelf/loft space and corner cat hammock (and plenty of space for a litter box) to help in the integration.
