Its been around a week since we gotour 2 year old boy neutered!
He seems to be licking the wound time to time but i saw online that he shouldnt lick the wound at all ?
The vet didnt tell us anything about our boy not being allowed to lick it or anything so i just left him.
Looking at him now there are weird black spots all over his scrotum and im not sure if its bugs or an infection or if it is supposed to be like that. Hes perfectly fine going to the toilet well eating well and doesnt seem like it bothers him and our vets closed at the moment ...
Does anyone have any ideas ?
I know when he got neutered he got flea treatment and everything too ...

Have you tried to gently wipe the black spots with a wet tissue? If you get red smears on the tissue, it's flea dirt.

It might just be from that area touching his litter. Some of my cats did this also. I think it just is due to a bit of them trying to find that sweet spot when they crouch down to go pee or poop. What I did with my cat was I just got some bitter apple vet grade spray and I just dabbed around the area with a Q tip not putting any on the wound. If you don't think your cat is to reckless you might be able to use a stiffer thick color so the cat can't bend into that I'm gonna get in the lounging position and clean myself. But I would only do this if you have a cat that doesn't jump up anywhere that could cause them to get hung up on.

When I have something like this I take a picture and bring it to the vet (you've got a great one) several would be better. Then you don't have to upset the cat with a vet visit. I always freak out about a week after surgeries, they always look bad, but have always turned out all right. I have never had a cone with the dozens of cats I have had neutered, and they all turned out fine. It's a good idea to video with your phone, any strange happenings such as a cough, etc, it's invaluable for the vet to actually see and hear what is happening, the cats never do it at the vets!  All the luck and keep us posted!

I called a 24hr vet and emailed them a picture. They advised me it was just from his licking and that his wound is fine and not infected or anything.
But still kind of worried so planning to take him to the vet that i got the surgery and get it checked out !

UPDATE **
Called the vet where our boy got neutered and she said that the blacks specs were already there. They tried scrubbing but it wouldnt come off and she advised me that she thinks its just black heads. Such a relief to find out that theres nothing wrong !
