I just heard mine today for the first time in over – oh - must be at least 20 years or more!
It made me feel so happy! Reminded me of stress free times before ever being disillusioned or disappointed as an adult. Lovely!!!

It was probably "Feed the Birds", sung by Julie Andrews in "Mary Poppins", followed by "Ghost Riders in the Sky", by Johnny Cash. I never listen to country music, but as a little kid, I liked "Wichita Lineman", and "Honey". I think they were sung by Glenn Campbell (or was one of them from Bobby Goldsboro? - I seem to remember that name).

I don't know who sang it and I have not heard it for years, but it is about a one eyed one horned flying purple people eater.

My favorite song as a child was You are my sunshine. I have tapes of me singing it when I was 3 and everyone says I used to sing it all the time.

My favorite childhood movie was The Wizard of Oz so I love the song "Somewhere over the Rainbow". I just love that movie & all the songs in it! Another favorite movie with funny songs that I love is "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory". I just love those Umpaloompas (sp?)!

Tarav, "Purple People Eater" was by Sheb Wooley.

My favorite was "I Want to Hold Your Hand", by the Beatles.

Nowadays, my all-time favorite song is "As Time Goes By", from Casablanca.

My mom tells me I used to bounce up and down so hard in my highchair as a toddler that it appeared I was dancing, whenever Neil Diamond's "Sweet Caroline" came on the radio. I still love the song.

I still remember the first 45's I ever got, along with my first "real" record player when I was 8 years old: "Sky High" by Jigsaw, "Fox on the Run" by Sweet and "Fly Robin FLy" by Silver Convention. That would have been 1975!

Well Umm no one would have heard of this aprt from Kellye... but a little song at the end of my fave all time soap, Shortland street...

"..Is it you or is it me? I'm a sailor lost as see I think a change is what I need.. Shortland Street" I loved that and still do!

It was recorded by the Archies, and I distinctly remember it being the #2 song for the year in the 1969 Top 100 Countdown on WABC - AM in New York.

My parents took us all over the country when we were kids and we camped along the way (never had much money). We'd hike thru National or State parks and dad would whistle the music to the Bridge Over the River Kwai. We acted embarrased, but would start marching in step to his whistling. I miss my dad!

Mine was on an 8track that my parents bought for my brother and I and it was called the rainbow connection sung by Kermit and Miss Piggy. I even Have a ring tone on my cell phone of it
