Do wear a scent? A favorite perfume?

I have always worn some kind of perfume or cologne or something. Years and years ago (I was in my 20s), I wore White Musk and it became my trademark. One of my friends told me one time that he was at the grocery store and he smelled that scent and started looking for me, thinking I was close by. People smelled that and they thought of me right away. Well, you get tired of the old standbys and start looking for something new. I have yet to find anything that I like as much as I like that White Musk. It wasn't expensive by any standards, just a cheap drugstore scent. I started wearing different scents, some really expensive, some not so much. And nothing has tripped my trigger at all.

I pretty much gave it up earlier this year because what I liked Rick did not. And what he liked I did not. I had these neat vanilla-y scent that I just loved; Rick couldn't stand it and hated it when I wore it. I don't like heavy scents. I'm not a flowery type of person. And I don't like "Old Lady" scents (sorry, but that's what I call them). There's an older woman here at work who wears this certain perfume (Miracle by Lancome) and we swear she bathes in the stuff. I'll be walking over to the restroom and I know she's around somewhere; I can smell her....and it's not a good smell! My kids gave Miracle to me several years ago for Christmas and I really don't like the stuff. I'll wear it when I'm with them because I don't want hurt feelings, but I really don't like it.

Anyway, my brother and SIL were here on Saturday and before they left, she gave me a big hug. I sniffed her and I said, "You need to let Rick smell you!" And she gave me that look and said, "Are you serious?" I said, "I'm totally serious, Kath,...Rick needs to smell you!" So she walked into the living room and said, "Your wife says you're supposed to smell me!" So she gave Rick a hug. And he said, "You smell good; I like that scent. It's spicy and yet flowery. But more spicy." So she told me what she was wearing.

It's Elizabeth Arden Green Tea. My brother gave her some for Christmas in a 4-pack gift box. I love it, Rick likes it, and it's on my list. I hope it smells as good on me as it did on her!

I wear One Direction's our moment despite not liking the band. Not only does everybody associate me with it, but even my cat does. If I spray it anywhere or it smells like me someone will say something. Because of my age, loads of girls in school quite like them but I got gifted one before they were released in NZ so I get constant texts from people going "my class smells like you"

I really like Heavenly by Victoria's Secret.  I've worn that for about 10 years.  Sometimes I try other things but I haven't really found anything that I like as much as that one.

Does Feliway count? I'm not joking - I spray some on my clothes before I go to the shelter and believe it relaxes the ferals in particular.

I stopped using perfume a few years ago when I had an epileptic student whose seizures were triggered by scents, but I still use scented shower gel and body butter, generally something like vanilla or cranberry.

I love Moonlight Path by Bath & Body Works. They are having their semi annual sale right now so lots of stuff are cheap. There's few things I like better than the SAS.

My favorite though is Cashmere Mist by Donna Karan. It's fantastic. I was walking through Macy's once and they were giving out samples. I've been hooked ever since and it's been about 10 years. It's a soft, inviting scent.

I used to wear White Linen by Estee Lauder 5 or 6 days a week.  I still like it but I rarely wear scent anymore.  I know it's considered an oldie now.  Young people would probably consider it an old lady scent and remember their mother or even their grandmother wearing it.

I love perfume!

My top 5 are:

J'Adore by Dior

Flower Bomb by Victor & Rolf

Fracas by Robert Piquet

Fantasy by Britney Spears (I'm always embarrassed to say I wear this but, it is utterly delicious and men love it!)

Byblos by Byblos

Those are the ones I wear most often.  I've been a scent wearer my entire life.  Not as much anymore, mainly because at work I'm in a huge open room and I don't think it's fair to overwhelm others with scents that may offend them, like, for me if I smell Angel, it gives me migraines.  So, I'm a lot more cautious and sensitive to others now.

I only wear the original fragrance Oscar de la Renta. I believe it was his first fragrance launched in 1977. I have probably worn it since about 1980. My wrist was sprayed by a salesperson offering samples in our local Belk store. It is the only fragrance I can wear. People recognize me by that fragrance. I tried to give an anonymous Christmas gift once. I opened the door of the person's vehicle and put two Christmas packages in the person's vehicles. They were for the woman's children. Nobody saw me do it. The next time I saw this family, the children told me somebody had left a gift in the car for each of them. They told me they thought I was the one who did it because their vehicle smelled like me when they opened the door.

I was floored. :lol3:

For perfume (which I don't wear often) I wear Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker.  I like things on the feminine side of musk.  For everyday scents I wear just body spray from Bath & :Body Works.  My favorites are Paris Amour, Japanese Cherry Blossom and Moonlight Path.  I usually alternate those.

My favorite scent of all is not one I wear.  It's Shalimar.  It was my Grandmother's trademark.  She spent her last years in a nursing home; but I swear when you'd walk down the hall at her house you could still smell it.  I'd go in her bedroom and sniff the bottle.  It's expensive; but someday I want a bottle just for that purpose.

I switch between DKNY Be Delicious, Mark Jacobs Dot, and Prada Candy. It kind of depends on my mood, and what I wore the day before. I get to the point where I can't smell things after I've worn them day after day, so I like to rotate.

My signature scent is Bob Mackie! I love it and have worn it since I was 24, I'm 45 now [emoji]128561[/emoji]
I occasionally wear other scents, usually something from bath and body works, but Mackie is really the only perfume I wear.

My first bottle of 'designer' type fragrance was Shalimar.  That was quite a few years ago.  I liked it though I had to be careful, a very tiny bit goes a long way.  My next bottle was the White Linen and I stuck with that one.

I am very scent sensitive. Most perfumes give me  an immediate headache. When I do wear something, (which isn't often, 'cause not going to put any on to go clean houses, LOL!)  I wear something natural.

When I was a buyer a the co-op for yrs,  we had something in my dpt. I liked. It was a couple of the Auric Blends oils. I always wore "Love"  & sometimes the "Egyptian Goddess." I have run out of the Love, so usually wear the Egyptian Goddess. I also have a few other natural ones like that. I found one at Whole Foods called "Flirt" I liked. It's a blend of orange, ylang, ylang, & black pepper. I only wore it a couple of times, because I think the pepper bothered my sensitive skin, so can't put it on my neck!  Years ago, when I still did hair, (& skin)  & worked in Aveda salons, I used their Chakra "Purfumes" (they actually patented that word. :)

I still have the ones I liked, but can only wear a little. I have the Creative (#V), Bliss (#VII), & Fulfillment. (#IV) (chakra's). They don't make them anymore, so I am glad I have them! I also have the matching lotions.

I did find a vanilla spray at walmart that isn't too bad, believe it or not. So for that one, I will do the spray & walk through. I love Sandalwood, so I have also made blends myself when I had more a supply of essential oils. I loved to blend sandalwood, neroli, & rose!  Rosewood & geranium is a nice blend too. I love blending, & If I could afford it, I would be doing that! I love to make bath salts & scrubs for people as gifts as well.

I just made a new one for my nephew's girlfriend for Christmas. I made a big jar of a blend of orange, lemon & lime! I didn't have any grapefruit, but would have added that too, if I did. I also made her a peppermint foot scrub.

Only on TCS could you find someone whose preferred "perfume" is Feliway.

I really love vanilla bean noel lotion from bath & body works. It's my favorite and smells like raw cookie dough.

But the last 2 years my brother has bought me Taylor Swift "Wonderstruck" once it was just perfume then last year it was perfume & lotion. I really do love it. I have the lotion and perfume left. Well on Christmas this year, he bought me a Katy Perry "Royal Revolution" gift set that I had asked for. It smells really good. I got lotion, shower gel and a bottle of perfume with it. It smells really good so it might be one of my favorites. It kind of is flowery and smells like cookies. So nice!

I liked the Rihanna perfume he got me too but I think VBN, Wonderstruck & the Katy Perry are my favorites. He never buys me awful smelling perfume. :)

My favorite scent is Choc by Pierre Cardin, though I don't know if it's still available. I also use the Bath and Body scents but my two favorites were discontinued. Grrrr. I still have some Cool Citrus Basil but no longer have any Orange Ginger.
