Hello, I have been checking out some of the forums for a while so thought it was about time to stop in to introduce myself and my 3 kids.

Elsbett is the all black cat in the 1st picture laying belly up.  She is our Queen Bee and is full of attitude.  You do things on her terms or she will let you know about it by grumbling & complaining & if its me, biting but never hard enough to really do damage, just getting her point accross.

The 2nd picture is Shiva who we adopted 6 months later from the same people we adopted Elsbett from since I thought she needed some company.  Took a little bit for them to get used to each other, but nothing really major.  Shiva was food aggressive at first.  Each of our cats have their own bowls for the wet feedings so she would growl at Elsbett when we would feed them but funny thing was, we didnt have to figure out how to fix the issue, Elsbett took care of it for us.  Anytime Shiva was hungry and was eating Elsbett just backed off and waited till she was done, then she would come in after to eat her food, basically showing her that hey no worries, there is plenty of food here for both of us.  Within a week, the food aggression was gone.  We were a 2 cat household for about 5 years and believe me with those 2, it was more than enough to handle as they are a handful.  Shiva is just as fiesty as her sister, but loves to cuddle.

Our 3rd and newest addition to the family has been with us for 1 year now.  His name is Loki and is the 1st male cat that I have owned.  My husband happened to look out the kitchen door window and saw him sitting on the back step and fell in love with him.  He told me to go out and see if he was friendly or not.  I feed ferals in the neighborhood so there is food behind the house, so i went out with food in hand and he looked up at me and meowed and walked over to me & I scooped him up and brought him inside.  Gave him some food which he gobbled right up & he followed me around the house talking the whole time.  He was in pretty bad shape.  Horrible ear mites, covered in fleas and he kept falling over when he would try to walk from being so weak.  Im so glad we found him when we did because he is the sweetest and most easy going cat i have ever seen.  He will basically let you do just about anything to him without complaint.  He did sucker us with his sweet side though cause he is living up to his name.  Loki does what Loki wants and you just cant stop him.  The girls were none to happy to have him in the house due to his rough play but we had no major issue's as far as fights went.  A year later and everybody gets along fine for the most part. (He is still a little rough at times with the girls but they let him know and if he doesnt back off I will intervene)

Wow, that was quite a long introduction post.  Ok, maybe the people at work are right, I am a crazy cat lady but hey they are my kids and I love them to pieces!!
