okay so we don't know her exact due date but she has been showing for at least three weeks. She is very big now and has gotten very affectionate. She is a barn cat but we recently have two possums that moved into the barn so while we're trying to get rid of them we brought the queen home because her last litter she showed up at the persons door we got her from and had them that night so we though maybe she wants to have them inside again. She seems very comfortable and relaxed and has been moving around every five minutes and laying back down. I thought that maybe she was already nine weeks last Wednesday but she still hasn't had them and I only saw a tiny bit of milk come out of one teet. Does any one have any opinions about how far along they think she is or when she could be due? I know from looking at her in person to the pictures she doesn't look that big but her stomach drags and she has to sit down with her feet spread really far apart. I've tried gettin one from the front of her walking or sitting but she either flops down really fast or comes up to me and starts purring

The waiting game is not easy to predict.  If you know when you began to feel the kittens move - max three weeks before delivery.

Also, if you noticed if she dropped - seems suddenly less big - its perhaps two days left...

If she allows and wants her belly to be rubbed, please do so.

I will send some links in a few minutes.

Welcome with reports and further questions.

Good luck

Thank you for the links I will look at them right after this. And no she hasn't dropped yet she still looks very very big. And I've been able to feel them kick for two weeks but I also didn't start feeling until two weeks ago so they could've been kicking before then

Do you plan to have her spayed after this litter weans so she doesn't continue to have litter after litter?

She looks so sweet! Thank you for bringing her inside where she can safely have her kittens.

Yes like I said she was a barn cat so she's not actually mine. My boyfriends grandma got her from somebody and she was supposed to have her fixed when her first litter got old enough and she didn't do it so we were going to go take her and she told us no she would do it and never got around to it. I wasn't happy about it but we are going to take her to get her fixed once her babies hit 6 weeks

Haha thank you. Still waiting for her babies to come, she looks like she's ready to pop. And seems miserable

So anyone have any opinions on when they think she will have them? And I did notice a tiny tiny amount of milk coming out of just one teat but she hasn't dropped yet cause she still looks huge and she's still eating and drinking but I did notice that when I went in to change her catbox a few minutes ago she hadn't gone since this morning when I cleaned it

It's so hard to know when the mating dates are unknown.

I took in a pregnant stray last spring who I thought was huge, yet she didn't have them for another 3 weeks. She looked like she'd swallowed a basketball by the time she delivered 4 healthy kittens. From the size of her you'd have thought she was having 8!

She was a first timer and looked like this the day before she delivered:

I kept her. She's my avatar along with one of her kittens.

With your cat's milk starting to come in she's probably getting very close - within days.

She just had her sixth kitten! She hasn't chewed off the umbilical cord yet and isn't licking him

How long should I wait to cut the umbilical since she hasn't done it yet? She's very tired and purring

Cut it! Warm him and dry him in a towel if she hasn't. Is the baby okay?

How's mama kitty doing now? I'm sure she's exhausted. Make sure to offer her wet food and water.

Are the babies all nursing?

She ended up eating it and cutting it herself right after. She had a seventh one right after that and The last one I took to where I work at a pet hospital and they put him down[emoji]128542[/emoji] It's intestines were out of its body and there was too much for them to do anything. She's tired but cleaning herself and them and they're all nursing and moving and meowing. So six healthy babies

Aww, sorry about the one kitten. I'm glad the other six are doing well. Watch for a runt not getting enough nipple time with six of them.

Yeah it was very sad but I knew there was nothing that could be done and I didn't want it to suffer. And I am watching them. They're all taking turns pretty much
