oh, yes! i've been a maru fan since the first time i saw one of his videos. i love hana too! i loved watching the videos of maru and hana getting to know each other, when hana was very young. and now she and maru are best buddies!

yes, they're both very cute, especially marmalade! you know, marm had cancer but underwent treatments (surgery and then chemo) and just before his last birthday was confirmed as cancer-free.

I was reading an article the other day about how cats are now becoming more popular than dogs in Japan. Apparently it's because we have such a huge population of people over 60. A cat is an easier pet for older people to take care of if they don't have as much energy and mobility as they used to.

I think we have cats like Maru, Hana and Kago Neko to thank for this. Kago Neko is the big ginger and white one in the middle.

that's interesting, and it makes sense (to me) that it's easier for older people to care for cats than dogs -- at least sometimes/many times.

i'd never heard of Kago Neko before, so i've been watching youtube videos of him (and his buddies).
