home owner moved and abandoned puddy a 6yr old male tuxedo. i took in a female outdoor cat because she lost all but one of her babies to the road in front of my house, my plan was to spay her and the one baby that surrvied and keep them, come to find out she was pregnant again so she had her 5 babies in my house i spayed and neutered the babies but before i could spay the mother she got sick and i lost her. i adopted out 3 of the babies but couldn't find homes for the other two so now i have the 2 babies plus the baby that survived from the first litter, when you add russ and chubby to number i now have 5 cats which i wouldn't give up for the world. now back to puddy. as puddy was an indoor cat i'm worried he may not survive winter, i built him a shelter with straw bedding and feed him twice a day, but i can't bring him to my home because chubby will beat on him, he's not agressive at all but chubby won't let up. my heart is breaking over this puddy cat. i want him home with me! so if theres any one in tri-state area that want's to help let me know. SAVE A LIFE SAVE THE WORLD !

Can Puddy live in any area of your house until winter is over? Basement or garage? Is him getting beat up the only concern? If it is I think it's better that he gets into a few scuffles with Chubby rather than having to survive the winter.

Scuffles are certain to happen at first.  It's all about territory.  When bringing a new cat into the mix, if you work on proper cat to cat intros the cats should learn to coexist.  It does take a bit of time, but it can be done successfully.  I brought a feral/stray into my home over 2 years ago.  I had another cat living in the house and a large dog.  The new cat a room of his own for safety purposes.  It took a full year to get him acclimated ( as he was used to living outside).  It took time and patience for the two males (both neutered) to learn to get along, but it does all work out.

I will post a few articles on cat to cat intros and a video that might help you out.

I feel just sick that your neighbors just left their cat behind.  That is one of the most cruel things people can do.  I hope that this kitty is neutered.  If you do plan to bring him inside with your clan, be sure to get him vet checked and dewormed as well as checking for a neuter.  Thank you for taking care of him.
