I'm concerned that my cat has never had his mouth open all the time but he wolfs his food down and doesn't have a problem drinking water. He seems to be coughing and sneezing, something that he never did before. Does anyone know if I need to rush him off to the vet or if this is some kind of flu infection.

PLEASE help!

Since he is coughing and sneezing he should see a vet for diagnosis and treatment. Open mouth breathing isn't normal.

Glad he's eating and drinking, that's good, however with the symptoms you've mentioned a call to the vet is where I'd start.

Thank you so much for coming back to me... I will definitely be taking him to the vet to have him checked out as soon as possible.
