Not sure what to do?

I have been taking care of feral  4 cats at work for approx a year now. Last week I noticed that one of the cats now has 6 kittens. All 6 kittens appear healthy. I can get about 3 feet away from her before she backs away. I feed her daily and over the weekends I can leave enough food until Monday. The cats have a shelter I built for them.

I'm not sure what to do with the kittens?  Should I take them away before the become "feral" or let them stay?  Some of the kittens are eating the dry I leave for its mother.  If I do take them, I can not take them. I would have to find homes for them or drop them off at the local aspca?  I'm the only source of food for the cats unless they hunt for birds or rodents.

What should I do?

Oh that's a tough one but I know what I would do that is take the stray kittens in and try to trap the momma and get her spayed. The SPCA is good for renting the trap. We have a no kill shelter in my area and if I couldn't keep the kitty's I'd take them there. you may want to search in your area to see if there's a no kill shelter. I know there are lots of others on this site that can chime in and offer advice. I've fortunately was able to take in the mamma cat that was at my work before she had babies.

Thank You for taking care of these kitties! The world would be a much better place if more people were like you.

That is a tough situation. You could try looking online to see if your area has a TNR (trap-neuter-return) program and call them for help. Or maybe a local cat rescue could offer advice or assistance. I'd call them all to see what they advise for your area and situation. And, I agree with hexiesfriend- getting the 4 adults fixed asap is very important. Then the little ones will need done, too. That is quite an undertaking for one person. I hope there is a program that can help out.

I'm interested to see what our feral experts will advise about the kittens. Someone should be by shortly...

Thank you for the replies. I have no TNR program near me. I can not rent one because of where I work. I'm just torn about taking the kittens away from there mother or just leaving them.
