I've just become a member of 'The Cats Protection League' here in the UK.

Its an organisation who takes in unwanted cats and kittens, and refuses to put them down unless it's necessary, and this is why i've become a member.

It only costs £12.00 per year, and this goes towards food, vet fees, and even toys for them, until someone comes along to adopt.

I also get a magazine about the organisation, keeping me updated on all the cats.

If i can help to save one kitty i'm happy!.

Well done you. Is it a local Cats Protection? I am a member of our local Cat Action Group. Unfortunatly I am a 'non action' member if that makes sense but I send them my subscription and get a newsletter etc. They look after the ferals in the Nuneaton area and are also a non kill organisation. They sometimes have kittens for adoption that look so cute but I know they wouldnt last 5 minutes with my lot.

I just logged onto the main 'Cats Protection League' website and picked my area(Newcastle upon Tyne), but you can pick any area you wish your money to go to.

Good for you though for subscribing to another charity. It's a comforting thought knowing that there are places who refuse to put animals down.
