Hi Everyone,

Based on a lot of reading here and on other sites I just purchased the Now Brand Krill Oil 500mg to help my 19 year old Jasmine's arthritis.    I tried opening the capsule and mixing it in foods and treats and my Jasmine refuses to eat it!    I am wondering if it is okay to pill her as I have never pilled a capsule this large before.   I have only pilled capsules that were a size 3.  These seem fairly large but she is easy to pill,   just wondering if it is safe or if they are too large for a cat.

Thank You,

Tracey & Jasmine

Hi and welcome to the forum Tracey2015 !

There is a thread you may have read already on this site....it has a couple of posts that might help you out:

I give my 7 pound cat with arthritis one 500mg capsule of krill oil daily.

I use NOW Neptune Krill oil. Flowerbelle hates it; I just pill her with it, even though it's a bit large. She's little, just 7 pounds, but it goes down easily enough.

Hi White Shadow,

Thank You so much the links!

The last post did answer my question about whether it is okay to pill it since it is large.   I guess I can try pilling it and see how it goes for us!
