saw her heading towards a wooden enclosure near  same place another group of kittens were found     a few years ago. two kittens came out of hiding towards her.  she was TNRd a few weeks ago. now  am worried that the kittens will not survive much longer unless I start feeding them  and traping them  to be fostered out. I am worried that I  created a life threating situation for  these kitten.thought I saw one  kitten in the feeding area a few weeks ago.I feel so bad . I contacted the same person that traped the female cat to come help me trap the kittens this Monday and take them to a animal shelter  to be fostered out then adopted. how could the Vet  not  know that she had  given birth to kitten s recently?

Sorry, the picture isnt clear for me from your post.   If she was spayed several weeks ago, and you see the kittens now, and you think they are hers, it means, they did survive.  Apparently she continued to nurse them and take care of them.   Yes, they can often  do.    We can see it for example, on emergency spayed moms.  they usually do continue to nurse and take care of her kittens as soon they are back home.

That said, if you see kittens there, several weeks old, its surely good and proper to try and collect them.

If that shelter does kitten fostering - good.    Be sure they do, if they dont do it, they will be just pts.

If they dont do, perhaps you can do it?   Or, you do it on their behalf, and they help you with vet costs, and perhaps even food and litter costs.   As the problem for many shelters is not in first hand money, but the lack of space and or lack of suitable foster homes...
