Hi everyone :wavey:

If money were no object would you prefer domestic help or would you rather cook and clean yourself ?

I'd take the domestic help any day for cleaning :lol3: Having 11 ( youngish ) cats in the house, I'm always tidying and cleaning up after them. For example I just got home from work and straightened my lounge up. ( Which I had already done before I left the house this morning ) I put all the cat toys back in their box, pillows back on settee's and straightened the rugs up. Went upstairs to get changed, I was only gone 10 minutes max, and when I came back it looked like a mini tornado had swept though my lounge. :uuh:

Domestic help! :D and I shall treat them like gold!

I don't like housework and I hate cooking. I'm still quite an avid cleaner (I mean hey, still prefer and enjoy a spotlessly clean home in the end! so worth it) but definitely don't care for it.

Truth is my husband has told me get someone to help clean. That would get on my nerves big time. Most people have their own way they want to do things and they would not do it to suit themselves, not me. As for food, I have to eat gluten free, so no thanks. I do my own cooking or be very, very careful if I eat away from my table.

Domestic help. I splurge a couple of times a year for deep cleaning that we can't manage.  I'd love to have someone in here at least monthly, but alas, this is not in our budget.

I enjoy cooking, so that's no problem. On balance, I don't think I'd go for a cleaner either. Whilst it would be lovely not to have to clean, I wouldn't like the intrusion. We get a cleaner on once a year to help with a deep clean for the holiday cottage though. There are some things I just can't do myself.

while my first thought is that i'd love to not have to do the cleaning, i think i would rather do my own cleaning. my concern would be two things:  that someone else may not be as thorough, and that things might very well get put away in the wrong place(s). in our home my policy is, 'there's a place for everything, and everything in it's place'. that way, i always know exactly where to find things.

as far as cooking, i'd much rather cook/bake myself. i'm more or less used to doing the dishes from cooking and baking at this point.

Odd as it sounds, I'd kind of like a cook, just because I'm addicted to the chef shows, and some of the meals they cook up look amAZing!! Esp the desserts!!!! [emoji]128523[/emoji] I like to cook, though, so just not every day.

I would love to have somebody come in and clean the house, but they'd better do a good job. I will do my own cooking, thank you.

I don't think I would take the domestic help at least now.  Maybe when I had 3 small children I would've gladly taken it, at least for cleaning, but not now.  I honestly think I am one of those people who would clean before the cleaning lady got there because I wouldn't want her to see things too messy.  I know I wouldn't want someone doing the cooking for me.

Now that I've had my cleaning business for over 2 years now, I'd hire someone to clean, so I wouldn't have to anymore.

I really don't mind that much, but after cleaning other people's houses, to have to come home & do mine, it would be nice!  I try to always keep things up as I go through the week,

so I rarely have to do a "big cleaning day" anymore. I keep disinfectant wipes in the bathroom, as well as a microfiber cloth. I also keep my vinegar, water, & lemon juice, or lemon essential oil spray bottle on the kitchen counter, & wipes by the litter box.
