I know for sure my queen, Ella, is pregnant. But the questuon is, how far along is she? She is super huge, always grooming herself, waddles when she walks and eats a ton of food! She also hasn't shown any sighns of nesting. All of this is so very confusing to me, seeing how this is her first pregnacy and I've read tons and tons of differnt things! Im not really sure when she conceived. Can anyone help me? I also have a nesting area all set up for her!
Don't worry, she will be spayed 8 weeks after the kittens are born.(:
*Super anxious for the kittens to get here!* Hope its soon! :jump: :catguy:

P.s., I know this is off topic, but I can not figure out what kind of cat she is! Any suggestions?

The waiting game is no exact science.

But if you dont know when the mating was, I do have two - three  favorite holding points - whom too of course depends on how observant you are.

When the nipples get rosy.  Which happens usually on surprisingly exact the 21 day...

When  you begin to feel the kittens move - which happens 2-3 weeks before the delivery time.

In high pregs, when they do drop - suddenly seems smaller, and you feel the kittens lower down, and they dont move as much...  Happens perhaps 2 days before delivry.

Good you have nest and gears prepared, but she will prob not seek actively the nest but in the last moments, or even not at all.

In the nature, they dont want to foul their favorite nest too early, not by smell and not by fleas....

She seems to be a domestic, a blue tabby.

Thank you for the help! I've been seeing her kittens move inside her belly a LOT for the past 2 weeks now. Also her nipples are a light rosey pink & are bigger than before she got pregnant. Her nipples are a little dry too, not exactly sure why though. When I rub her tummy it feels like shes starting to get a tad bit saggy from the milk coming in. But now the only time she lets me rub or rest my hand on her belly is when she is asleep. Could this be a sign as well?

So its very near now.  Although she hasnt dropped yet, so its near but not immediately yet.

Yes,  The accept of tummy rubbing is de facto a sign.  It helps them with the hormone production helping with getting things proceed forward, and is also a nice massage of the tired muscles.

So if she allows you,  please do rub her tummy!    :)

ps. re her colors.  The pic isnt really good, so my vision is unclear.. This of blue tabby part Im pretty sure, but it isnt impossible she has creme parts too.   If so, she is really a tortie and tabby, with blue and creme coloration.  Blue is diluted black, and creme is diluted red.

You are welcome into our Description Forum for a more exact recognization.   Add more pics, though, if you ask there.   :)

**I just checked her nipples and the ones nearest to her groin are swollen up.**

Those are the ones that always fill up first and get used the most by the kittens.

The milk can come in up to two days before she give birth.
Awhh, I can't wait! She won't even come to me anymore when I call for her. Lol, she's either sleeping or grooming herself!
