ok, you must supplement her food yourself.   In what country do you live?

You must get, a needle less syringe - its easier for the weak than a bottle.  If you cant get such syringe, a dropper will do, but its more difficult.

You give her food, she tummy down, head a little up,  in the cheek, a couple of drops a time at the cheek, slowly so you are sure she swallows.

If she swallows actively, you can do it a little faster of course.

Burp her afterwards on your shoulder, like you would do with a baby.

Is the mom still cleaning and washing her?

The food is  kitten mothermilk replacement milk,  kmr.  There are many brands, this of PetAg, called for KMR, in powder is the best of them.

Goat milk is also OK to use.  RAW goat milk is excellent, but bottled or sold in plasted cardboard boxes is OK too.  Use a full fat of 3-3,2% if there are several different brands.

Please report, so I and the others knows what more to write.

The links you got from Mwallace are excellent.

Good luck!   @magdae

that syringe best of 1 ml....= 1cc.

Get home also a scale, best an electronical scale weighting in grammes.   Perhaps some neigbour has?

You mus tfollow closely her weigh, every 12 hours in the beginning for the weak.   She shall gain every day at least 6 grammes.

Be sure  the kitten is warm!   If mom isnt warming it up, you msut be sure to give her a heat source.  Perhaps a warm water bottle, wrapped in something, or even - carry at your chest.

It it takes time to get the kmr / goat milk, you can try and give her some water by a dropper, in the cheek tummy down.

Be without water  drains her forces it too...

Very many of the small and weak ones dies, even if you fight. So be prepared.

But many DO manage it with good help from their owners, so if you are willing to fight, do fight.  You and she may win, together.

I suppose her maternity instincs and the milk come in late. Too late.

Im sorry it went as it went.  RIP little one.

I shall now ask a mod to close this tread, as we usually do in such situation after the death.

If you do wish to start any other tread, or have a question, please do so.

Feeling with you.

I am very sad to read this news of your kitten @magdae  .  Please do not blame your self for anything that has happened.  It is very likely that your mother cat sensed that this kitten was not so strong and her natural instincts would be to care for her healthy kittens and let nature take its course.  It must be heart breaking to watch her now stay with and protect this little one but remind your self that you did everything you could to prevent this.  You continue to care for your mother cat and her litter too, and this is the most wonderful thing you can do: many cats with tiny kittens are on their own with no warm home or decent food, or anyone willing to help them raise healthy kittens.

As StefanZ has mentioned, threads are locked after someone has suffered such a loss, as a sign of respect.  If you wish to post further and  have any questions about your mother cat and her kittens please know that it is alright for you to start a new thread for this here in the Pregnant Cats and Kittens Forum.  We also invite you to place a tribute for your kitten at  http://www.thecatsite.com/f/19/crossing-the-bridge  as an enduring testimony if you want to do this.

This thread is now locked.
