I have a 6 or 7 month old kitten that does not seem to like wet food. She was a kitten from a feral mother that I caught at about 7 or 8 weeks. Other kittens I have caught have been fairly easy to tame since they are food driven. But, this one does not seem to be like them. She is offered both wet and dry food throughout the day but only seems interested in eating either of them twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening. She seems to prefer dry food over wet food, which makes it hard to work with her on taming. She will let me pet her when she is in her crate, but when she is out of the crate, she will more than likely run when I approach her to pet her. I give her Blue Buffalo grain free dry food and I have tried to find some wet food that she likes but so far have not found it. Any suggestions on this and how else to work with her on becoming more tame? I would like to find her a new home since I have a lot of cats already but I do not think anyone will consider her since she does not like to be touched.

There is no problem with your kitten. Not eating wet food is not a problem ,there will be always have fresh water available.

Some people never feed wet food for their cats. It would be good to switch to better quality dry foods. The ingredient should include pure protein and not include the chicken-by-products,ground corns,or artificial colors. It should include all the minerals and vitamins that the kittens need and serve them naturally preserved.

I think most cats would choose dry over wet food.   If you are able to you'd have to take the dry food away in order to entice her to eat the wet.

Thank you for taking care of all these kitties

Have you been in charge totally of what she has eaten all this time?  Kittens learn in their kittenhood what is food - which is why they are open to things at a young age, and it is important to exploit the window so they will be flexible eaters.  If you have not always been the food provider in her life, perhaps her preference is just a reflection on what she is used to (ie , what she considers to be food).  I'd keep offering both.  And also try some raw.  This might be the thing that entices her as it is closer to the wild food preferences inherent to cats (most have to be taught that kibble can be eaten!).
