My cat started Clavamox yesterday and now has diarrhea. Is there anything special I can feed him (or anything I should AVOID feeding him) to make it less uncomfortable for him? Thanks.

Did your vet mention probiotics? I tried giving my cat a small pea sized bit of plain greek yogurt each day when my cat was on Clavamox and it helped....a little.

You can also put fortiflora into a needle less syringe with water and put in cats cheek if your kitty won't eat it.

When my kitties have been on antibiotics, we give them acidophilus from the health food store or supplements section at the pharmacy.  We have the tablets on hand and break one in half and give twice daily.  They crush very easily and dissolve in water, so we add to wet food or baby food and a bit of water added.  They are also available in capsules, and you could open the capsule and sprinkle the contents on food.  This has  helped keep their stools at least formed, but sometimes a bit soft.  At least it took care of the diarrhea!

My vet just said to give it with food to avoid stomach upset.

I've given him some hamburger & rice and that seems to have helped those first couple days. He hasn't had diarrhea today, I think maybe his stomach just needed to get used to the  med.

Anytime my kitties are on antibiotics I give them probiotics as antibiotics kill all the bacteria both good and bad in the intestines.  Probiotics help restore the good bacteria in the system.
