we got dogs, i tried locking them up but they can get out still, so i did give them food so they can free feed through out the day and hopefully leave the cat food alone

SOOOO very sorry that you have no replies to your thread here. You referred me here from your other post in Health on the cat with the scratched ear. Again, first off, thank you for wanting to help the feral/stray cats in your neighborhood.

Since you feed your other TNRd cats, then there is a good chance that other cats will come around for the food and then more cats will need to be trapped if you are willing and able. :cross: Do you have a good TNR Organization near you to help with these cats and the cost? Many will even assist you in trapping, offering traps and suggestions AND even financial assistance if you cannot afford even the fee for the TNR. That is their goal!!! To help stop ferals from breeding and most organizations are very willing to offer help in anyway they can, especially for someone like you who is trying so hard. :hugs: IF you need to find an organization just google "TRAP/NEUTER/RETURN Organization in your specific county". Let us know if we can be of any help or support.

We really appreciate your effort to help neuter the cats. :vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes:

Some very, very helpful articles here: Please look over and let us know of any questions: http://www.thecatsite.com/t/249434/important-ferals-rescue-threads-articles-updated-october-2012

It's is so wonderful that you have a place to help such as Pawsproject. Great organization and glad that you found them. :cross: that you are able to trap that other cat and continue on in your great effort to control the population of feral cats in your area. :bigthumb: :high5:

Do you feed on a schedule? How many outdoor cats do you have currently that you are caring for? I usually try to get a feral cat used to a routine with schedule AM feedings and that makes it a bit easier to trap when the time is right. I will even put out a couple (or few) traps with the doors tied up (unset the traps) and only feed in the traps. That way the cat gets used to going in and out with no worries. Makes trap day go much easier. First, of course, the cat(s) needs to be coming around on a regular basis and scheduled only feedings help. I hope that this cat will continue to show itself and you will be successful as you have with the other cats! Again, check out the link I posted above. Since you seem so interested in feral/stray cats and wanting to make a difference in their lives then those articles will help to teach you even more about dealing with feral cats and TNR. :vibes::vibes::vibes: :hugs:

Be careful of putting food out in the dark - at bedtime. You will be attracting the wildlife! I always feed in the mornings and then about two hours before dusk. I take up all food if not eaten but usually it will be gone by that time anyway.

I think if any posts were deleted, they would let you know. I am sure nothing was taken away unless it was inappropriate and I don't see your thread as one needing that in the first place!!

Should i be worry about wildlife?

Looking back on this thread, i was responding to someone, i don't think anything they said was inappropriate, is it possible that their account got deleted for whatever reason with all their posts?

I worry about wildlife. Those huge raccoons come in and bully the cats away and eat everything! If you leave the food out at night the raccoons get used to coming, just like the cats. My ferals come at 5 in the morning and I spend a great deal of time chasing raccoons! All the luck, and bless you for caring!

I havent saw a raccoon around here before and when my dad was feeding the dog. There were always food out for them before i took over. My only worry is coyotes and foxes. There are someone who breeds wolves and dogs just mile away
