Agh my cat maple has chewing gum in her fur I don't even eat the stuff but how do I safely get it out? im happy to chop but I still need to clean some so it's not so close to her skin when I cut it out help?
1) Aagh! is right, poor baby.Never had to do it, and no experience, but you got me thinking! Then I did a google - they say oil will loosen it. In people, they even use peanut butter (its oily): . But I wouldn't use a nut oil on cats, given some nuts are toxic to cats. You could try soft butter - and your cat will probably delightedly clean herself afterwards too! Othewise, I think olive oil is fairly benign for cats.
