I have a pregnant kitty. This was a planned pregnancy as I am a new cat breeder. My girl is only half way through and she started acting funny and she bled yesterday. She is on antibiotics; today is day 2 she is starting to act better but not completely just a little. She has no fever but she is still bleeding. Is this a spontaneous abortion?

We cant know, quite possibly. Is it bleeding for real, or red colored discharge?  Some red colored discharges are quite common, but real blood is not welcomed.

And what is this funny behavior?  Such can give clues sometimes.

Had you contact with your vet?   If not, do so.  As a breeder you are supposed to have your  "court" vet anyway.    :)   So begin now, if you havent done it yet.

Please, continue to report and ask.

Good luck!

I have a pregnant girl. A few days ago she started bleeding and not feeling well. she passed a small substance a few days ago and one yesterday. She is on antibiotics and is more active and eating better and no more bleeding. What I wonder is did she abort babies or can she still be pregnant? Was what she passed fetus or placenta or what? It did not look formed or anything looked more like small tissue.

Unless you took the material she passed to the vet for examination, including microscopic, there is no way to tell exactly what it was.  I suggest calling your vet about it.

hey @bellavita1   i am just experiencing the same with my cat .. she is almost at the end of her pregnancy and she started bleeding .. she was on antibiotic but after a few days she passed a tissue like thing and then again 3 days later .. and yesterday she delivered a premature baby ..
i dont want to frighten you and i wish your kitty a full term pregnancy with adorable babies but plz be vigilant .. and reduce your cats activity level .. bring the tissue like thing to vet so he can diagnose your cat better
sending lost of prayers :)

My girl is now acting normal and eating and drinking again. She is on antibiotics but I wonder if she is still pregnant. I am thinking no because her boobies are shrinking some of them and they are no longer dark pink like they were. She is to stay on antibiotics for 21 days to ensure no infection sets in.

You can perhaps get her some probiotics, to stabilize her intestine bacterias.

PetAgs  BeneBac is excellent, so is  "S.  boulardii"   These are the two probably best, but there are surely also other useful.

Even a common, sugarfree, full fat mild yoghurt is useful.  Especielly if it contains added bacteria of Acidophyllus and Bifidus...

Cant hurt, may help.

Good luck!
